You Can Never Leave doesn't really relate to the Trope Namer; it suggests a different trope (about places, not organizations) I might introduce sometime on YKTTW. I'd suggest calling it Once An Agent Always An Agent.

Inescapable Organization ? Though that suggests an organization that no one can get away from rather than just a member.

Still, something that references the group would be better than just a "you" phrase. No Resignations Accepted ...?

Something like Trapped In The Firm or Working For The Firm came to mind. From the Wikipedia entry for the John Grisham novel:

"By the time a lawyer is aware of the firm's actual operations, he cannot leave."

The Firm works as a decent stand-in name for a number of organizations (though not really for military/paramilitary ones).

As much as I love the idea of including a reference to how inescapable law firms are, I think that might muddle matters by making the title unnecessarily specific, even though a firm certainly fits this.

Hopefully that's not all that true.

Do people generally associate the term 'firm' with law firm? Yeah, I guess so.

Maybe just me, since I work at a law firm. I don't know. I just can't think of anything else called a firm, other than a consulting firm which isn't that different.

While these sorts of organizations are sinister in fiction with some frequency, I think picking any specific type of organization in the title is going to make the name less clear.

The current title definitely needs to be changed though because I imagined a completely different trope.

Does Not Accept Resignations, based on a line from Kingdom Hearts 358 Days Over 2, just paraphrased to not be a ptitle.

I'm beginning to favor Not Allowed To Quit over my own suggestions.

The only remaining ambiguity is between quitting as in giving up and quitting as in retiring. But "Not Allowed to Retire" gives an even worse ambiguity.

I think it's the best so far.

That might also imply "I won't let you quit this competition".

Member For Life is subtle, but it makes it clear it's about membership.

Member For Life is a common phrase almost always used in a positive context. Personally, I would have trouble associating it with being forced to stay with an organization.

I'm not clear - how does this meet the standards for renaming? The name doesn't seem unclear or confusing.

^ Because the phrase tends to be used for places that you can never leave. Like you've been locked up somewhere, or once you check in you can't check out. Not that you're stuck in the same job forever.

Yes, the title seems to refer to a location rather than an organization. That's the issue.

We could do a rename crowner first and see if we should rename it before we get too caught up on alternate names.

Since two people have already objected that seems wise. Though who knows, maybe someone will show up less than a day later and say it was a bad idea. ;)

Yes. It's always unfortunate when people scream sour grapes.

All right. Time to figure out how to make a crowner.
