If we want to include non-canon stuff, Bonney also stole one of her ships before One Piece Stampede
Big Mom wouldn't lose that much influence overnight… but it wasn't an overnight thing. This was an incredibly long, drawn out PR trainwreck of a disaster, that culminated in her defeat, and subsequent removal of her title.

Robin: Don't ever ask me to dock with you again. Serious...Said title being purely the result of public opinion, as well.
With what happened to her territory, the only way things can go worse for her would be Teach jumping her while she is still fried from what happened to her in Wano.
Wake me up at your own risk.Oh, how far Linlin had fallen from grace. Once she was feared as this monstrous matriarch across the seas... now she's condemned to a fate worse than death itself: being a punchline.
Robin: Don't ever ask me to dock with you again. Serious...Punchlines are deadly in the world of One Piece. But yeah.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. The One Piece itself is the most powerful punchline in the world.
Considering her last words were literally "don't you dare think this is the end of me", I'm sure we'll see her again. Probably in Elbaf, given her ties to the nation.
I should hope so. Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think Luffy has ever successfully hit her. If I remember correctly, on the rooftop, he aimed his attacks exclusively at Kaido.
And let's be honest, we all want to see Luffy have a little Gear Five fun with Big Mom. Doing so on Elbaf in front of people who believed in the Sun God Nika already would just be a nice bonus.
As far as I'm concerned Kaidou and Big Mom are dead and Big Mom's last words mean nothing. Especially since Blacbeard's crew thinks Big Mom is dead and while Pudding seems to think otherwise she could just be in denail. Kaidou and Big Mom have nothing more of value to add to the story and I'm going to be disappointed if they're brought back just because fans can't accept the idea of them being dead.
Plenty of Shonen villains have had similar last words.
Big Mom already lost. I wouldn't be surprised if Katakuri became the new Captain of the Big Mom Pirates, his siblings did talk about who would succeed Big Mom during Wano.

I feel like its assuming a lot to say that there's nothing more Kaido and Big Mom could add to the story. I agree that they shouldn't be brought back just for the sake of bringing them back - If there's no story reason for it, best not to. (Much as I would like to see Gear Five Luffy clown on Big Mom, its not strictly necessary).

I think Kaido's dead, but Big Mom will return.
One Piece has loads of villains who were defeated early and yet still play a role later on: Alvida, Buggy, Hachi, Wapol, Crocodile, Mr 1, Bellamy, CP 9 , Caribou
Obviously not all are the same level of prominence but I'm pretty sure Big Mom still has story potential with Elbaf.
Also, wasn't a big worry during the Whole Cake Island arc was that Big Mom's information network could identify all of the Straw Hats loved ones and have them killed if they crossed her. And yet even after Whole Cake Big Mom never does anything to follow up on that threat.

Because she had no reason to? To salvage her reputation after the events of Whole Cake Island, she had to take out the Straw Hats, not their love ones.
None of those guys took a magma bath.

She would still be petty enough to target the Straw Hat's loved ones out of sheer spite just to hurt them. Or she could have used them as hostages to lure the Straw Hats to her.
Maybe she turned part of the Lava into a Homie to protect herself. There are many ways Oda could write for her to survive.
I liked the "Big Mom grabs Kaido's soul in order to survive" theory.
The Big Mom Pirates are a bit too preoccupied with everything going to shit all around them to worry about going after people on the other side of the Red Line.
I still generally don’t believe anyone’s dead in this series outside of flashbacks. Ashura and Izo have a tomb, implying their bodies were recovered and buried, but anyone else randomly returning would not surprise me in the slightest. Because Oda’s the guy who couldn’t even kill off a background character who bit off his own tongue.
Anyone else finds it curious that the wolf sea beast weapon from Egghead has the same color scheme as Eustass Kidd?

Due to unfortunate events, i will continue to exist until further notice.<Sees preview for tonight's new One Piece episode> Man... I really do not remember the sequence of events in this arc, lol.
I'm actually mostly talking about the Marine scenes teased in this preview. I was almost certain the next cutaway from Egghead was to Elbaf to see the Kid Pirates Annihilation. (Even though I know this is just the reveal that Garp is going to Fullalead)

Oh god, Kuma's real face is just beautiful in the anime.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Oh yeah, aside from Garp, next episode should also be Kid.
Due to unfortunate events, i will continue to exist until further notice.I've completely forgotten where "Cut to Sphinx Island, where we learn Weevil might actually be a pretty good dude if not for his mom's influence because he tried to save it" falls.
And, while she was gone, the Blackbeard Pirates rolled up and invaded her territory, too.
Big Mom's suffered some bad PR as of late
The Fridge Brilliance page also notes that every time Big Mom has faced the Worst Generation she incurred some kind of loss, which only got worse with each encounter.
Kid sank some of her ships, Uroge beat Snack, Bege (the one who joined her) mastermined an assassination plot against her and he and Luffy publicly humiliated her, she chased after Luffy and suffered her first outright defeat in who knows how long in Wano at the hands of Law and Kid, and most recently Blackbeard outright invaded her territory and kidnapped on of her children.
