Turns out that plant-like aliens are quite terrifying, no matter how cute they look.
Technically in the game you never encounter a scenario where this mix-up could occur. Every castaway you find is either:
A) In a cave, where the ship follows you but the onion does not,
B) Already a Leafling by the time their brought into the overworld, or, most rarely,
C) Already immune to Leaflingificition.
Quick, call the fashion police!
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Misko is this particular Zelda's version of Sheik. After repossessing his house, she maybe went a little overboard in getting rid of his stuff. But in her defense, she needed him to understand how serious she was when she said she wanted him to cut out that "EXCUUUUUUSE ME PRINCESS" shit. It's not funny. It's never been funny.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I've beaten the game and still never seen whatever the thing that comes for you if you're on the ocean at night is supposed to be. I've seen some kind of shimmer in the distance sometimes if I was out too late but I always beelined it for safe port with no problem. I have no idea what the thing out there actually is.
The game lays out clear boundaries and as long as you follow them, you'll be fine and dandy.

Maybe some people are driven to madness by arcane secrets man was never meant to know but I've been on the internet for thirty years. The sky will eat my face in the presence of pork? Cool. This is a pork-free zone then. BOOM. Easy.

I haven't gotten super far in Dredge (maybe a quarter in? Probably less), but Kate's experience is my experience.
Part of it is that I initially took the darkness/sanity thing as a game-over mechanic that I expected the game to only give me ways to push back - that's what I'm used to from games like that - and it took me some time to realize the game more intended it as a challenge for the player to eventually overcome so they could experience a whole additional side fo the game.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I think there's a trope for that.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! There is something inherently attracting with finding treasure in debris.
Katie was born to be an environmental scientist
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youAlmost a shame she went into rocket science instead.
I feel she would like A Short Hike.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I see no reason she can't do both
Although let's be honest. As a rocket scientist her work is likely 90% building weapons guidance and delivery systems. If she's very lucky, she gets to work on space launch systems instead. I'd crave different work too.
I studied Electrical Engineering at a uni that's in a defense contractor town. Overwhelming majority of my hiring options were companies like Northrop-Grumman or Lockheed-Martin. During a tour of their facilities, one of them was showing me a system they were developing that was an emergency medical delivery kit. It was essentially a guided bomb only instead of an explosives payload, it had emergency first aid and trauma recovery instead. Dude joked "see, not everything we do here is designed to kill 19 year olds"

I ended up never practicing on my BS in EE
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youEh, her Pokemon will be fine. It's not like they're gonna die or anything.
It's been 3000 years…They're just being picky about it.
Knowing my cat, she’d eat two tiny slivers of that fish and then decide she doesn’t like it.

My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming.Well, depending on how you define "organ", we can plainly see several from outside. And with their Big Eater tendencies, I'm sure we can find a line of dialogue with them mentioning rumbling tummies.
We have seen Pikmin parasitize things before. Rock Pikmin, Ice Pikmin, and Bulbmin are all the result of a parasitic Pikmin infesting another object for use as a host.
I wonder if Leaflings might be parasitized in the same way.
