Another look into the digital world where we combine the good concepts of Frontier with… Everything else in Adventure 01.

The Digital Dictator, a human hacker who has hijacked the digital world and established bases all over the digital world that serves an unknown purpose besides expanding his control (I know this sounds very familiar but this will serve an eventual original purpose.). What’s more, The Dictator is in search of supposed “regal” artifacts designed to finalize his control of the Digital world.

Gennai: Hello. You will learn know me as Gennai, I’m going to be your partial guide to the digital world, but because my control is highly limited I will have to send Wizardmon and Piximon to fill in the holes. I’m sorry I had to pull you out of your busy lives but you children are currently the best candidates to wield the crests. This all sounds confusing now, but oh, don’t worry, it’ll make sense eventually, I assure you.

Now I’m sure you’re wondering why you don’t look or feel quite like yourselves, well that’s actually a very funny story. The digital Dictator has reprogrammed the digital world to ensure that he is the only human inhabitant. This obviously makes things difficult for me or anybody who has to stop this guy, so I decided to compromise. So now you’re digimon, in a odd sense of the word. I’ve ensured you’ve kept some remnant of your humanity to make sure you are still you’re identifiable as the valued individual you are, however, you are still very much a digimon.

Humans have a power that allow digimon to evolve into a stronger level, made simpler through channeling items called digivices you received before you came here. This means you can transforms yourselves into a powerful level, but how exactly is still quite am mystery. Something about using your heart or evolving as a human being, I’m sure it’ll eventually make sense in context.

Now I’m sorry to say you are not the only ones with this power, the Dictator may not know it now but he has the ability to call forth a darker power, negative crests destined for a group known as the dark Digidestined, children who refuse to change or evolve for the benefit of themselves or others and fall further into the depths of their own despair. They can change but I believe only you positive digidestined have that sort of power.

Now for the meta side of things, This is your character template your body will be programmed into once you enter the digital world. Your standard form is the rookie, but due to power issues, I can only initially enter you as in-training. Worry not, You’ll grow up soon enough but for the time being, I suggest you learn to start surviving. And Quickly, you have no idea how much as at stake right now for both the digital world and your own. Good bye now, I have a fishing trip with some Gomamon I must attend and I wouldn’t miss out on that for the world.

So, how many more players are we going to need before this gets started?

I would hope at a minimum 5 light digidestined including the one I will make. The dark ones can start at any numero at the cost that they will be thrown into the fray when called upon, not when the RP starts.

So we need two more lights...

Sorry I've been waiting so long, I'm still trying to decide who my character will be and what the Digi Dictator's mon is going to be like. I am going to start the RP this time this Saturday.

Digimon is well known for its inevitable Can't Catch Up trope. Since all of the participants have mega level in their character templates, I'm sure that this roleplay won't fall victim.

I wonder how large the gaps will be. For example, Koji (or Kouji, whatever) receives his beast spirit in episode 10, and Tommy (or Tomoki, whatever) gets his beast spirit seven weeks later.

Nobody is going to end up more powerful or more important than the others, and even if you end up being ultimate and the others are still champions you can still be helpful in combat or even more important. and there will be no Can't Catch Up and more of a "You will be equal in level, eventually, but you definitely will."

So, when is this starting up?

I apologize for my absence, I basically just got to college last friday and there have been several complications in terms of access to the net like my lack of a personal laptop as of yet and the computers being funny about if you can log in or not. Fear not, I shall begin but I still need fully functioning descriptions of the dictator and my own character which unfortunately take time since I stupidly thought it was a good idea to enumerate every form at the very beginning of the RP. I should have time today and tomorrow so expect the winds of change to occur soon.

I, as GM, shall be in charge of all enemy/NPC digimon and whatever the heck Gennai is.

Is the public aware that Digimon actually exist in this world? I mean, is it just a bunch of games and tv shows, or do people know that Digimon actually exist?

Good question. Its important to how the characters react.

Which is why I haven't replied yet.

I have a complicated explanation for this but the simple answer is that the world we inhabited didn't have digimon.

So just curious what's the official explanation for the Translator Microbes I remember this me me in Digimon Adventure 2 as well.
