This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Viremaster, when making an edit request, format it as you would if making an entry on an unlocked page. Mods can open up your post to get the raw text (that is, before the server processes wiki code).
That said, requested edits for No Real Life Examples, Please!, as per the RL section thread:
In the "Morality Tropes" folder:
* ApocalypseHitler
* BadSamaritan
In the "Gossip" folder:
* MemeticSexGod

@10343: So not an example of that trope, then? No reason to mention it on the trope in that case.
@10345: Um, I am not sure if the Good Guy Dolls qualify as Creepy Doll except for Charles Lee Ray's soul inhabiting them and turning them into murder machines. Did the other edit.
@10348: Did that and some more linking.
@10350: Somehow I am not sure if that writeup fits the trope.
Alles andere ist getan.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman- Creature-Breeding Mechanic: Acquiring colored chocobos requires you to breed chocobos you've captured and leveled up. Some players might be put off by the fact that related chocobos can be bred together, but this isn't too unlike animal breeding in real life. VG Cats examined this in its usual manner.
Also, the Bond One-Liner entry there has a line that looks misplaced, it seems like it was intended to go under "Blind Idiot" Translation, just a bit above it.

Seriously, my avatar comes from the embodiment of the So Bad, It's Good trope.Removed that subbullet. Also added the Creature-Breeding Mechanic example but left out the VG Cats reference since such material is not to my knowledge desired on the work pages.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOn WallBangers.Harry Potter, please remove this piece of natter.

DTH and remind me why ^ is locked.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWell, Administrivia.Locked Pages says it's a "Pre-emptive lock to prevent Edit Warring", but I have no idea what it's referring to.
Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgement contains a link to the article within the article, which is not allowed: "Wording is everything. It goes both ways, too: please do not use the Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgement as an excuse to remove a viewpoint that merely goes against your personal beliefs." Please change the line to "Wording is everything. It goes both ways, too: please do not use the Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgement as an excuse to remove a viewpoint that merely goes against your personal beliefs."
Please replace Book!Ramsay's entry at A Song of Ice and Fire with this.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsI have a request for Osama bin Laden, assuming this Trope is allowed:
Majored in Western Hypocrisy: When his compound was searched after his death, among the items found in his compound were American soft drinks (including Coke and Pepsi), Nesquik, and Vaseline, all items that seem contradictory to his anti-capitalism views.
Please replace The Witcher with the content at Monster The Witcher, cutlist the Sandbox, add The Witcher to Literature for works with their own pages, and delete the examples at Literature M To Z.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsDelete this sentence from the Sonic the Hedgehog example on Main.Ubermensch:
And replace it with:
"...because he dislikes the idea of others being oppressed like he plans to"?? There's something wrong with the grammar of that sentence. If the second "he" refers to Eggman rather than Sonic, it should be replaced with Eggman's name, as otherwise it sounds like Sonic doesn't like the idea of others being oppressed because he wants to be the one doing the oppressing. And even then, "because he dislikes the idea of others being oppressed like Eggman plans to" reads a bit clumsily. Perhaps just drop the last four words entirely?

DTH save for the Übermensch edit; the issue ^ has to be sorted first.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAt Video Games And Visual Novels, please replace Qada's entry with the one at Bravely Default (I changed it a bit to hide a spoiler). Thanks.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsDid that.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAt Tabletop Games (Pathfinder) and Anime And Manga I To P (Monster), please make Pure Evil pure evil.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsDone.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThank you. One more minor thing (I'm going through the related to CM examples and cutting inappropriate uses): Please remove the Complete Monster usage at Kite, as it should only be on the YMMV page.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsAnd that is done as well.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMany thanks
You know, let's do this now:
- Please lock American Horror Story, add it to Live-Action TV for works with their own pages, and remove the examples already at the main TV page.
- From here:
- Liddell goes to Anime And Manga A To H.
- Taurus Bulba rewrite goes to Disney.
- Quentin goes to Film A To E.
- Pale Man and Bloom go to Film F To O.
- Jakoda goes to Film P To Z.
- Bill Harris (a rewrite of William Harris) and William Lewis go to Law & Order (at the end of the SVU group); also, please make the two headings Asscapped.
- Bluebeard goes to Literature A To L.

Star Trek: The Next Generation has an example of Horny Devil in the character Ronin in the episode "Sub Rosa". He is a centuries old energy being kept alive by the lifeforce of Beverly Crusher's family, and their reactions to his absorption of it are similar to that of sexual arousal.
