This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Could the material from Characters.Rance please be dumped into a page like Sandbox.Rance? The page is locked and due to be cut soon, but the material on it mostly fits a page we've agreed to keep and thus we need to preserve it. After that I can move it to the proper place.

Created the sandbox, since you don't need the edit button to access the source. There is a source button and that's accessible even when a page is locked.
Oh, I didn't know that. Well, in that case, apparently the Characters.Sengoku Rance page is locked. Could a mod please replace the main characters folder on that page with the content of the sandbox then? I definitely can't do that part.

Hm? Isn't that what I just did? Bleh, not used to asking for stuff here. Anyway, I'm requesting that this replace the very first folder section on Characters.Sengoku Rance since the page is presumably going to be cut, but the information still applies to that series.

For the moment, Sengoku Rance has passed. Overturning the previous decision when no new information has actually come to light would be kind of odd as well. But, well, if it gets cut that can be dealt with then.
