You can keep wearing them. Just because they're associated with hipsters doesn't make you one, just like liking rainbows doesn't make you a homosexual.
Which is ironic because Scott Pilgrim is supposed to be a hipster himself, although I've heard that he's (and basically everything/everyone else in the comic/movie are) supposed to be making fun of hipsters.
From what I hear, the film actually parodies hipsters.
It still confuses me why rainbows are associated with gays. I mean, gays are stereotypically portrayed wearing no shirt at all, sweating, and overly muscular, trying to act ultra-manly while grunting a lot. Not wearing colorful clothes, that goes against the gay stereotype!
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."There's more than one gay stereotype. That's the Hard Gay /Overcompensating stereotype. The one that likes rainbows is the stereotype that speaks with a lisp, excellent with fashion, friends with ladies, in other words Flamboyant Gay and The Dandy(The straight version).

When All Else Fails, you have fun and flirt wit da ladies, dats da Drawings way!...wouldn't being friend with ladies actually help them get some pussy, atleast much easier than hanging out with other men. Even if theres no sexual tension, it's still closer than hanging out with men.
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."1) If they're gay they wouldn't want the girls that way anyway
2) The thing is that due to their stereotypical advanced fashion sense, interest in make overs and clothes and dressing up and being pretty, they relate to girls better and be able to have conversations about hot guys.
In theory anyway. It has nothing to do with interest in them as gender and more interests in terms of hobbies and things that interest them as a whole.

When All Else Fails, you have fun and flirt wit da ladies, dats da Drawings way!I liked him in Juno, but other than that I've only seen him in Scott Pilgrim. And as someone who's read all the books before watching the movie... Michael Cera isn't badass enough as Scott Pilgrim. Sure, they (as in, movie Scott and book Scott) are both kinda dorky, kind of losers and slackers. But (book) Scott has dorky charm and a helluva lot of self-confidence. You don't expect his voice to go up an octave when Ramona actually shows up at his show.
Biophilic bookworm by day, gentleman adventurer by night.Plus Scott in the book can be snarky as hell and a bit of a selfish jerk, I just can't see Cera pulling that off, the best he can really go for based on looks is the guy who's selfish but doesn't really know he's like that
Disclaimer: If anyone disagrees with anything I say, I am quite prepared to not only retract it, but also to deny under oath I ever said it.
but but but...I like T-Shirts with ironic phrases on them
