@ Fauxlophe: Erm... Either NERV has unisex shower blocks, or Luke just pulled a Spriggan (Flanker knows what I mean ) and followed Chouko and Emi into the ladies showers

I'm still not sure if the rest of our characters have seen an Angel before. Has tokyo 3 been attacked yet? Also, I'm assuming the captured-angel battle took place underground, like it did in rebuild.

No, only Emi and Luke should know what an angel is, and the battle indeed would have taken place in the Geo Front (but it was somewhere else in rebuild). The general populace doesn't know about the angels yet.

The new pilots will find out soon just what they're up against (and incidentally, fighting for).

EDIT: Actually you know what I'm gonna strip out any mention of an angel from that post and have the new pilots assume that they're going into robot-on-robot combat... then it turns out they're not.
