This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

OK, so, Camacan gave me "a few days off" because I lost my temper and insulted someone. His words.
I asked if I could be unbanned and promised to be super-ultra-civil especially in my edit summaries and always post to the talk page every time I remove something.
Camacan never came by to talk to me, and over a week later I'm still banned.
What gives?

Been busy dude, sorry. I should asked you to come around edit banned in a week. Lifted the temp ban. I won't go over the problems we had again, you know the score.
I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything to earn this ban, but then again, I'm happy to have it explained to me.

You were banned for trolling, since insisting that Bret Michaels was in the Beatles is difficult to interpret as anything but an attempt to start fights, since he was born in 1963, and the Beatles were already performing in Liverpool in 1960. Once they hit the big time in late '63 and '64, there was no way on earth that a member could be retconned out, and they'd broken up by the time he was 7 years old.

I had a short break at work today, edited a bit through my iPhone. Some guy had been editing around a bit with a page illustration for Dominatrix, flipping back and forth between different versions. I supported the version he had added, and corrected a pothole. I didn't see anyone else than him and me being involved, so I didn't take the time to analyze the situation very much. If there was some edit-war or moderator intervention that I missed, sorry for not seeing it.
I apologize for editing instead of going "nice picture, but you should go through Image Picking - technically this trope already have an illustration, although I agree with your argument that the image is just a joke unrelated to the trope". Either that, or simply wait till I got home and go through the whole thing again.
Also, if someone considered his image to be offensive or NSFW, I apologize for stepping on their toes. Also also, sorry for taking up your time - with the edit and with this post.

Yeah, we didn't want another escalation sequence on that image, which is why the rather neutral image is there.

So, uh, it would seem that I got edit-banned again. But this time, I don't understand why this time.
The only thing I can think got me thumped again was my argument/debate/diatribe/whatever in the Last Airbender discussion forum with Mr. Death.
I wasn't obstructing the page proper, we kept the discussion exclusively to the discussion forum, where we were told to take said argument, and there was never any warnings about our argument getting out of hand...
I'd like to ask why, exactly, I've been thumped again...

I'd make an argument that I was telling the truth, but you do have a point about it being unwarranted. I was just reaching a frustration point and the whole thing was irking me.
Of course, it was irking me because Death went and constructed a Strawman out of my arguments as opposed to address my points properly...
If you grant me my editing privileges back, I'll go back to that post and remove all arguments as well as formulate a more proper and civil argument for my post and keep it civil.

We just need better writing than you are doing. Perhaps if you can get someone to work with you one-on-one in advance to make sure your text is good enough to post, we could accommodate your desire to contribute.
As it is now, the wiki's text could be in a poor state while it waits for someone to come along and fix your edits. Sort of unfair to the readers, and to the editors who would rather be doing something else than fixing grammar.
It is not impossible that there is a troper who would work with you by looking at your posts before they are made. Let's see if anyone volunteers.

Please, why will nobody answer me? I'm extremely, extremely, extremely sorry for the thing on the Skyrim page. It was a genuine piece of game lore and I did not realize it was against the rules, I thought the other person was simply disagreeing with the connection I was attempting to make. Edit warring was the thing, Heart, not the style or content of the edit. I'll lift the suspension, but try, next time you and another troper are seeing something differently, to take it to the discussion page.
