This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.
The Forum Rules apply here.
Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Yes. I remember now.
It doesn't explain what qualifies them as Lancers.
All understood perfectly. Some of it wasn't pleasant to read, but all was explained in civility and I'm glad that the matter was made clear. Have a nice day.
Veritas Vincit.Alright, I understand I shouldn't just add things back in without discussing it first, especially when there's a disclaimer warning about it.

Personally, I'd prefer if the 'net was a little friendlier, but you know the GIFT...Got it. I've been trying to be more careful about that, even noticing some issues with other posts, and will definitely follow the rules in the future.
I apologize again for my incivility and swear not to repeat that behavior. I will do the right thing and report behavior if I feel someone is being nasty to me. May I please be allowed to edit again?

1. You cannot be serious. A person doesn't like an entry I made, and rather than discuss it with me or chalk it up to a difference in personal opinion, they have the right to just delete it and move on? I've seen NUMEROUS things I've disagreed with on MULTIPLE pages, and never once has it occurred to me to delete someone's edit for that reason alone, because it's petty and biased to act like my personal opinion is somehow more correct than anyone else's. But by this logic, I have the right to go about deleting any entry I find just because I personally don't agree with what it says, and nobody can argue against it. If I have this incorrect then PLEASE, explain this to me properly, because that sounds completely insane and I cannot convince myself that this is the way things actually function on this site. Freely allowing that kind of behaviour from users is complete chaos and will only lead to edit wars, I just don't understand how that can be the standard process for this site. Furthermore, I did not 'lash out' at this user over this, thank you. I asked what the problem was with my entry, which as said, boiled down to 'I don't like how you wrote it'. I ended the conversation after arguing about it for several messages, deciding that it wasn't worth it since the edit was already gone, so there was no point in discussing it any further. And as said before, I opted not to add it back in specifically to avoid edit warring. Someone deleted my edit over a personal gripe, and I decided to just wash my hands of the entire debacle.
2. I am not able to 'ask the tropers' anything, my permissions were revoked and remain so to this day, hence why I am here. I can do nothing for now except speak here and hope for the best, frankly.
3. The grammar notifier edit you mentioned was one of three sent to me for the same edit, which already seems excessively dog-piling. People need to be told if / when they make mistakes, granted, but sending someone three separate messages over a single edit for each specific thing they did wrong? The third was for indentation, the second for word-cruft, and the first was for the link error, citing my lack of communication skills as the reason I made such a heinous mistake in the first place. How am I NOT supposed to take it as an insult when a user begins a conversation by accusing me of having poor language skills over copy-pasting a slightly incorrect link into a page, before listing off every other thing I did wrong with yet another bright red 'new message' notification?
The reason I tried to defend myself here in the first place is because I want to know if you're willing to try and see this entire mess from my side. As I said in my original breakdown post, I have done my best to stay out of parts of this site that I don't feel knowledgeable enough about using correctly, I have done my best to keep myself to myself to avoid this situation we're in now. Despite that, users still felt the need to impose their personal views over my own, and when I became upset about this, I was told that I had no right to be. When another user insulted my communication ability, you simply said 'that didn't happen', despite the fact that I can still SEE the notifier I received over it.
The bottom line is: are you willing to see this from my point-of-view? Not 'agree with me', god forbid, just see it from my angle and concede that maybe, perhaps, just possibly, the messages I received could have been a bit less offensive and insulting in their wording / intention? That, had they been clearer, fairer, and politer, I wouldn't have had any need to get upset about them? I am NOT saying this justifies how I reacted. All I want to know, before anything else, is do you (or anyone else on the moderation team) agree that the notifiers I received were, perhaps, not the best way to be told of my errors? That being insulted over my language skills and having my contribution erased from the site over someone else's biased opinion were possibly a little bit rude and hurtful? And that receiving nothing but insulting, rude and hostile notifiers from multiple users left me inherently angry and upset the moment a new notifier came through, because the only reason I would be receiving it would be (in my mind) because someone else wanted to yell at and abuse me over something? Are you willing to agree with me on that much? That my being upset at notifiers stemmed from the poor way I was treated in previous notifiers by other users on this site? Is that point, everything else aside, something that we can agree upon before anything else is discussed?

Understood. Thanks for the advice
~𝕋𝕒𝕓𝕤 Understood. I had learned my lesson and I will keep my crazy ideas to myself, and I promise I will not bump threads anymore just for sake of someone answering them, and I will be now patient waiting for my posts to be commented upon.
I hope that my post was honest and I will get my suspensions lift over because I want to be able to post again.

I did not index pages, point taken, apologies. I have some quibbles with the system in place here, where is the appropriate forum to bring those up civilly? (I generally don't hang around on the forums, I just edit pages)
"Freedom is not a license for chaos" -Norton Juster's The Dot and the Line: A Romance in Lower MathematicsI'm not sure who banned me from TLP (and i don't care), but please have common sense and finish my drafts before kicking me out. I hope you didn't delete them or stole my name in them, cuz it's too petty.
An edit war is a dispute about the content of a page. The solution is not yet involved.
Okay fine I'll make a portfolio showing that I have contributed to the forums in order to gain my editing rights back and how do I write the portfolio to you though. But also can I ask what is cleanup thread?

You're talking about some pretty old posts there, I think, but I get the point. These days, if I'm making a Real Life post, I try to make doubly sure it's factual and neutral in tone.
Alright then, thanks for detailing me further. I’ll understand it all next time and take my time reading over the pages and advice you recommended. I could guess I’m still indefinitely suspended from editing for now.
Dear Moderator Team
Well uh, this is awkward. Seems like I haven't recovered much as I had hoped.
I've decided that I'll be staying away from TV Tropes for a few months to take my mental recovery more seriously - I will tell you when I'm ready, so please do unsuspend me when I come back.
Signed,

i did a bad thing / i regret the thing i did / and you're wondering what it is / tell you what i did / i did a bad thing~Cordite-455 — Since mental health issues are why you were suspended, take as much time away from the site as you need to get help.
We'll get to everyone else soon.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Legitimately have no idea why I was suspended. Just clicked on a page to edit a factual error and got the message.
Okay here are the links of my thread questions I started so far on the forums for now, I'll be sending in more for the portfolio (to lift the editing suspension) in the second part such as the CM creation and my comments on other forum questions, I have to search for them first and add links in the page (and right now I am trying to learn how to do the clean up thread part) though I need to ask how do I search for my thread comments and responses so that I can add links for it:

To Tropers/𝕋𝕒𝕓𝕤 , Yes that makes sense. I should communicate with the whole community and not just the mods.
Hello, I was suspended from editing and wishing to appeal.
I won't fight the reasoning. I felt a subject concerning Fallout the series YMMV page shouldn't have been removed and re-added it out of stubbornness and not getting the message that it wasn't the place to be calling out culture war nuts.
I will be more attentive to how I write to be a little more balanced in my takes and when something like that is removed for the reasons given just accept it and move on over trying to start an edit war.
Thank you.

I feel ready to be unsuspebded. I will promise to watch the videos, not be a idiot and not spam.
It's been a couple of days so I figure it's worth asking, again: why was I suspended? It's only from edits, not TLP, and I have a couple of active drafts on there I can't launch now because of it.
Got it. I had figured a way to put bullet points after quotes with less indentation (by adding an extra dash to the quotation arrow), but I think the Toyman part can be deleted. I know Fashion-Victim Villain is a YMMV page and that take on him is no less ridiculous, but when I wrote that, I didn't know about Jack Nimball or that he (and that costume) was canon to the comics (see what I mean?). So if that's to be kept, it should at least be moved to the Comic Books tab.
One Nation Under WiFi
An Edit War that took place over a fairly inactive page over the course of ten years? I will admit, I forgot how many times (besides the first edit) I had tried to edit that entry on the Paranoia Agent page. If anything, I would've expected it to happen back around 2016 or so...
Alright, I will concede that I was being stupid. I'm not even concerned about the work page anymore. I'll unfollow the page and just leave it be.
I humbly request that I may have my editing permissions restored so that I can go back and not only revert that particular example with me admitting to my wrongdoing, but also correct a few other mistakes that I've been wanting to correct.
