IIRC she is able to cut someone's telepathy.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy Enti think that eyes have to do with lifeforce or span.
ryougi-san has hers full+ryougi anti demon powers.
nanaya-san has only 1/4 of his life and that was cut shorter when he got disconnected from akiha.
the only evidence i havs is that when shiki goes all NANAYA BESERKER MODE, he doesn't have difficulty in using eyes.
I'm the spark that makes your idea bright. The same spark that lights the dark, so that you can know your left from your rightSo you guys think you could tell me how one would go about liveblogging this game?
...anyone?
You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat! It's going to be tedious, unless you skip the usual crap and go straight for the endings, be they be Good, Normal, True, or Bad.
That's 'cause she can see it (or at least its lines). I have no idea how this works. She just must have really good eyes.
Not really sure how you would liveblog a VN, but it shouldn't be any different from an anime series.
The Good/True/Normal end choices don't require you to backtrack all that much (usually it's just a couple of scenes, provided your choices have been good up until then). Do it chapter by chapter.
When it comes to decision time, you could either:
- Just liveblog the "correct" choice; look up a walkthrough if you wanted to make sure.
- Chance it (if you're not sure, just leave the blog open if you want one of us to spoil it.)
- Liveblog all possible branches, which will be extremely time consuming, and possibly quite difficult to follow.
It'll be good fun.

"Or I could make it a user participation thing."
Is this what you were typing?
Play Again? Y/NSo, should we treat it halfway seriously or should we make it "Let's find the most WTF death for Shirou possible."?

My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!WTF deaths will happen anyway, even if you took it seriously. >_<
Play Again? Y/NTsukihime uses pretty much the same explanation, except adds a level of Man Was Not Meant To Know. The human brain is not designed to see the deaths of things, especially not those of things that aren't really alive in the first place, and especially not of things that have no form. At various points in the story Shiki strains himself to see such things, but it causes horrible headaches and presumably his brain would explode if he did it too much.
Edit: Oh yeah, and he can also see lines of magic power, and can cut them. Shiki vs Akiha in Tsukihime is almost exactly the same fight as Shiki vs Fujino in Kara No Kyoukai, although its a bad ending if you do what Ryouigi did.

Well, yeah, but I meant we go out of way to look for them. So...Land Shark, anyone?
My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!Shiki fights Akiha? How?
I've just finished Akiha's route, and I've got both endings...but I don't remember Shiki fighting Akiha...he just fights SHIKI in my playthrough. I probably missed a choice somewhere...

Play Again? Y/NKohaku's route. Akiha gets Roa-hacked from killing SHIKI. Well, that and Kohaku hooking up with Shiki didn't help. Akiha "kills" Kohaku. Shiki goes Nanaya.

My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!Aaaaah. Haven't played through that yet. I left Tsukihime alone for about six months, after finishing the Near Side routes.
Cool.
Play Again? Y/NSo, I watched a few episodes until I decided that I didn't want to keep up with a series that airs Fridays at 1 AM when I have to get up at 5:30... So I acquired the novel. The thing is that, having seen a few early episodes, I know what choices I should take in some cases. The question is, How much does an "incorrect choice" take to pay off? because while I want to see some of them, I don't want to brach for too long to what I know is a dead end.
The question came up when deciding whether to stay fixing the school and get owned by lancer, or go to work, when I know the former advances the plot.
On a side note, I could really do without having "saber is a beautifully beautiful beauty" and "saber is the strongest servant, really.... really really, the strongest", although I believe they'll tone it down afterwards.
If you make a wrong choice, you'll almost always know immedietely afterwards before making another choice. I think there's one or two times where this isn't the case though.
Usually you find out you've made a bad choice a few scenes later. The worst Bad End in the VN doesn't, though. And it's...actually not that opaque, but for the kind of choice it is, the consequences of making the wrong one are somewhat disproportionate.
Hint: Diplomacy is your best friend.

Play Again? Y/NMost of the not-obvious dead ends are basically the "relationship check" dead ends, though.
Worst one, in my opinion, is Taiga Dojo #13. Since it comes at close to the climax of the route, if you get it, that basically means that you have to play pretty much the second half of Fate route all over again. That's because the last Saber point was just before the fight with Berserker.

My troper wall's now my troper page, yay!^Yes.
The choice is something to do with whether Shirou finds Rider attractive or not. Sakura pouts endearingly and is clearly jealous. Funny and cute, right? No. Not really.
Play Again? Y/NIt actually makes a kind of sense, considering the character.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntWell, IIRC, it's just before a meal (breakfast, I think), and Shirou's caught between a rock and a hard place as he's pestered for an honest answer by Sakura, but Rider appears to be less disinterested than she claims.
You get three choices:
Sakura, Rider, or Avoid the issue and invite the both of them to eat with you.
There is nothing that indicates the horrific outcome of screwing this up; she just gets a little mad and the issue is never raised again until the Tiger Dojo.
Play Again? Y/NMy point is that considering Sakura's... Ahem, fragile mental state giving her reason to think you are attracted to another woman is probably a bad idea...
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy Ent
I'm not saying his powers are limitless; in fact, I'm saying that he's limited to what he can see as having lines and points of death.
He couldn't see any on the full-moon-powered Arcueid, which was really problematic for him for obvious reasons: you can't kill that which, to all intents and purposes, has no death.
EDIT: Apparently Kara No Kyoukai Shiki is meant to be stronger, but I haven't seen all of it yet, and have no idea what makes her Mystic Eyes of Death Perception any different from Tohno Shiki's.
