And back on it.
Finishing helping conspiracy-boy with the painting,I talk a bit with Lilly and Hanako as they walk back to the dorms with me in the twilight.
Day ends.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.New day,and more running. Emi's got a short attention-span,it seems.
Interaction! Should I risk running more than yesterday and possibly make my heart pop,or keep to the same level?
Fuck it,foot to the floor. Let's see how I do.
I get into a race with Cheetah Loli and keel over. Natch. To the nurse's office I go. By the way, what the hell is his PC wallpaper meant to be?
I get an offer of lunch on the roof with Emi. Yay?
And lie dow-zzzzzzz.
Wake up,get checked out,go to dorm,get books,go to class.
For lunch,I am mostly eating with Emi. But... dududuuu! Rin's there too. Not to worry, there's lunch for everyone. Rin does her foot-eating which causes me a bit of normal-angst when I think I might get used to it.
Starting to realise why everyone likes Rin. :-)
I trip- uh,put my foot in- fuck, make a faux pas when she mentions how hard it is to put on shirts.
Lunch ends and I go to the library, spotting Hanako but not stopping to talk to her.
Back in my room. Alice In Wonderland eh?
"Cripple Wonderland",he says. *facepalm*
Another day ends.
(I'm starting to read what they're saying in their voices. Misha sounds like Suzumiya Haruhi, natch. Emi sounds like Louise with a touch of Genki Girl. Lilly sounds like Tessa. Hanako is Nodoka, obviously. Rin... unsure. Who could do 'dirty-minded and unembarrassed'?)

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Let me just say "uh-oh".
There, done!
PS: "Faux pas" is French for "false step".

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.
New day. Class, and the teacher takes me out for a telling-off. I yessir and sound contrite.
Everyone rushes off, leaving me behind... and Hanako. But nothing happens. Even she leaves eventually. Finishing homework,I leave and bump into the school festival prep.s,then Emi. "Whatchadoin'?" (Quiet,DeeDee!) Oh good, more shanghaiing. More art supplies.
Rin's a little weird? Something seemed off to me? *Savvy signal starts flashing*
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.I'm cheerfully informed that Rin spent half an hour staring at her toes.
We drop off the art supplies,Rin barely registers us,then we go back for more.
I'm then told by Emi that I'm now her running partner. Then she pouts. HNNNG.
Carting the paint back,Rin's wandered off.
Day ends.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.New day,and it's the festival.
Don't ask me why,but I check up on Kenji for my daily dose of crazy.
Outside. A little dose of reality as outsiders ponder "What's wrong with this one?" (I know that one well)
Emi stops me eating my stall breakfastlunch. Dammit,is it your mission to destroy my joy? Yet I roll over and take it.
She suggests going to see Rin's mural and tags along.
I kind of like it for its "dreamlike" quality. (To this player - sweet shit,it's like essence of Picasso)
All three of us go for eats, but I make a plan to sneak some fried food. (I see an interaction in your future. Or just another heart attack. Let's find out)
I go for a cake instead, reflecting upon this week's 'not bad' nature. Bedtime and ...roll credits?
END OF ACT ONE.
That was all right. I give it a B-. That's,what,5 hours of story? Commendable.
Additional: in the extras, there's a Library section. One of the interactions is called Meet Cute.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.choosing to race emi locks you to her route. not doing so prevents you from going after her...
I'm the spark that makes your idea bright. The same spark that lights the dark, so that you can know your left from your rightAny suggestion for Hanako? Spoiler it if you want.
EDIT: Browsing the fanart leaves me in no doubt it's from 4chan.
Emi saying, "Am I popular yet?" while cutting herself is just one of the delights. O_o

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Been a while since I've played the demo, but to the best of my recollection, the way to get Hanako is to do what you did, except don't introduce yourself confidently in the library, and don't race Emi.
the dice are loaded, the deck is stacked, the game itself will hold you backThank you, developers, for including a fast-forward. (Ctrl,if you're curious)
Hanako this time is just awwww. Our eyes meet... and she still runs.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.the only waifu material there is the lily hanako combo...
I'm the spark that makes your idea bright. The same spark that lights the dark, so that you can know your left from your rightHence why I said "uh-oh". Every newbie ends up with Emi at first because of that, and since her ending is definitely the least interesting, it leaves them with a bad impression.
I think there's... one way to get out of that? Or two? Buuut it's just not worth it.
Heh, I got Rin the first time just by doing what I felt I would do in Real Life. That made me happy.
the dice are loaded, the deck is stacked, the game itself will hold you backI thought the "uh-oh" was because Rin was the Rena route and would get me killed.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.Um, no.
Are you not hot-blooded enough to want to show a little girl how athletic you are?! What are you, some sort of sensible person?!
Right, remembered not to spook Hanako this time, but nothing different has happened yet. I've met Rin.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.I've always imagined Rin with the voice of Toph, for some reason.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I haven't played the game at all, but choosing to race a girl on the track team when your main character has a dangerous heart condition seems like a transparently bad idea.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.Yes.
So?
If you've followed the Shizune route thus far, you can race Emi and still have the choice to join Mishizune or Emin for lunch (setting you up for Shizune's and Emi's endings respectively, as long as you don't make a really stupid decision later).
Share it so that people can get into this conversation, 'cause we're not the only ones who think like this.I've decided I want to check this thing out. I've never played any sort of Visual Novel before, and, well, why not? It's like an Adventure Game, which is something that I love, only without all the, you know, puzzles that I can't solve without Google. Plus I like anime enough. And cute girls.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.
Oooh, a spontaneous Act I liveblog!
I just wanted to add that I am also in love with Rin. Although I'm also in love with Hanako... *head asplode*
