Evil Wizard Nazis. Or Evil Nazi Wizards.

Fight smart, not fair. This is indeed a terrible name.
Seems fine to me, what's the problem?
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Well, it's only peripherally related to ghosts, and its also only peripherally related to Gestapo. 0.5 * 0.5 = 0.25

Peripherally related to the Gestapo? The whole thing is "Nazis + Occult." Ghostapo brings that meaning with an awesome pun, too.
Occult is more than ghosts. Nazis are more than Gestapo.
Edit: Honestly, the name makes me think of a secret police force made of ghosts. Or perhaps secret police attacking ghosts.

Keep, it gets the point across.
Still, I believe Stupid Broomstick Hitler is a redirect (or will shortly be one).
Whenever I think "old lady" I also think "human" but that doesn't make Old Ladies Are Bastards a good name for Humans Are Bastards.
I don't mind Stupid Broomstick Hitler though.
. It's hilarious, because when I suggested Ghostapo it was entirely a joke, but then everyone loved it, and I was horrified.
Looks like the joke's on me.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I thought you were going to suggest renaming it because, for the purposes of not mixing root languages, it really ought to be Geistapo.

Seems fine to me. Gestapo = nazi, ghost = ... well, not supernatural exactly but the pun makes it worthwhile.
^ The super secret Nazi ghost force?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I made my guess (spooky Nazis), checked the page and didn't feel mislead. I agree that the occult is more than ghosts, and it could could interpreted as "ghost police" but on balance I'd suggest keeping it. I was probably assisted by the fact so many creators love this trope to death (and beyond) so I've bumped into it quite a few times. Looking through the wicks I haven't seen errors so far: I can't think of any state security settup staffed by ghosts (what a concept.) The only "ghost cops" that come to mind are Ghostbusters — not really cops as such.
Can't think of an alternative ... other than Nec Reich Omancy

Keep. I knew what it was about the first time I came across it, before I even read the page. It fits just right.
(I can't believe I'm agreeing with Daremo...)
Ukrainian Red CrossAnother keep. There's really no grounds for a change here.
Support stupid freshness, yo.Geistapo can be a redirect(it works and doesn't really change anything), but the current name works. No need to change unless it's really that big a deal.
I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important.Keep it. Though I'd like it if Geistapo at least redirected in.

I actually think the name fits pretty well. It relatively explains the trope, and it's witty. *
Also, added the new discussion tag to the page.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Witty? More like, Incredibly Lame Pun...
Anyway, let me explain what is wrong with identifying "Gestapo" with "Nazi". It may not matter much for non-Europeans but on the other side of the lake the word is synonymous with "thought police" when referring to the organization, and with "stool pigeon" or "police informant / spy" when used for a person. This is because when you ask most Eastern Europeans who they associate with the word they would say "those guys who kick down your door in the middle of the night and take away Granny in a black car". That's a very strong connotation that differs from the word "nazi" which is more commonly used for regular soldiers.
Which brings me to another point: compared to army officers Gestapo officials were actually quite low-ranking. They were strictly police, not CIA. They were a useful tool to terrorize the populace and deal with minor troublemakers, but they did not actually get to do anything near state-level importance.
Nazi Occultism would be a simple and straightforward title. I could get behind Those Wizard Nazis or similar that are more to the point and do not confuse nazi concepts.
Ghostapo was originally split from Stupid Jetpack Hitler, and it strikes me that this is one of those cases in which this wiki decided on a trope name which is perhaps more clever than apt.
