This looks like something that can just be started without the need to suggest it.
Also note there's a thread for clearing weblinks in examples by preferably replacing them with detailed descriptions if everything fails.

One problem that I see throughout this wiki is the use of dead links. Many URLs were left on pages many years ago and never checked since, with them at best being error 404 pages and at worst linking to spyware. This isn't helped by the fact that many links are to things like obscure blogs or forums that have a tendency to be shut down. Thus, I think we need a new long-term/perpetual project focused on fixing these cases of link rot, whether that be replacing dead links with archived versions, finding replacement links, or just removing links where no suggestion can be found, as well as proactively archiving links to sites that may be transient.
