There are likely some jokes that are less amusing today but certainly not fundamentally worse than any 80s sex comedy. The Rapid-Fire Comedy means a lot of jokes are buried by the next one.

On another note, it'd be great if Weird Al Yankovic had a cameo in the remake, due to him having a cameo in all three of the original films

I’ve always wondered if Neeson is the kind of actor who really wanted to do more comedy, but found it difficult because all of Hollywood knows him as a serious action guy, with most studios only wanting to cast him in those roles.

Like what happened with Arnold Schwarzenegger or Robert De Niro.

That pretty much was the case with Leslie Nielsen. He had wanted to do comedy for years but most filmmakers didn't think he could because he was typecast as serious characters for the most part until the 80s, despite the fact that in real life, Nielsen had a reputation for being a huge jokester (as well as playing pranks on set, even in his pre-Airplane projects).

I remember Casablanca was Humphrey Boghart's first movie where his character wasn't a villain, if I remember that fact correctly.

Relevant clip, Neeson trying to convince Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant he can do stand-up comedy.

Instead of a reboot they should just make it a sequel several years later and have Liam play Frank Drebin Jr. Have the plot be about a drug ring so you can call it Naked Gun 420.

Another thing Liam has in common with Arnold is that people don't care if they're Not Even Bothering with the Accent.
