Eh... worthiness gets into No Such Thing as Notability territory. There's a million arguments we can have over which pages are "worth" troping, but I'd start by saying that anything that violates our rules is inherently not worth it.

[up][up]It is not a hard rule that any such work will be axed. It's only a rule for fanfic recs. We are not, for example, going to cut IT.

However, if there's sex between teenagers and we judge that the work is meant as fanservice targeted at lolicons, then it's not allowed by policy.

Looks like there's mostly votes for cutting the manga in the past few hours. Is it safe to holler?

I'd say so. Even if the consensus to cut is pretty narrow, I think it's highly unlikely that we'll end up with a call to keep, and I don't think we should drag it out for the sake of dragging it out. Unless you're expecting a sudden surge of Keep votes to suddenly rush in, let it be called.

Reading over the thread, I'm also gonna say cut

Calling it for cut both anime and manga, based on the posts here and here.

Looking at comments since then, I see more "cut" calls but no obvious "keeps", so I think the 2:1 consensus is stable.

And it's gone. Added to the Administrivia CV list, reviews deleted, all pages locked and cut.

There were no dedicated threads, but it was a recurring topic on one of the 2024 Anime threads, so I've also posted there.

We probably need to look at wicks, but I think that's the only thing outstanding?

So, we can say that Operation N. A. S. G. O. M. G. (Narwhals and Seagulls Go Over Mountain Gaps) is complete.

I agree, people have gotten wildly liberal with labeling everything and anything "CP" and it's to the benefit of absolutely no one but actual predators.
To be fair, some countries—Australia, Britain, and Canada, to name a few—do consider sexualized depictions of fictional characters under the age of 18 to be child porn, and make a point of not distinguishing between real people and fictional characters with the argument that doing so benefits predators and that the only people who would want to do so are pedophiles.

Even the United States has laws that, on paper, prohibit sexualized depictions of characters under the age of 18.

Japan, conversely, has no such laws and a lot of manga artists are opposed to them, which partially explains how series like Gushing Over Magical Girls come to be.
