Knuckles (Sonic Series Event)

Would this have a negative effect on Sonic 3, if this series doesn't meet people's expectations or would people still see Sonic 3 anyway?

I doubt it. The movies, if nothing else, are more centered on Sonic and friends.

Yeah and a lot of people really want to see Shadow on the big screen.

Is the only complaint that the critics had with the Knuckles show is that Knuckles isn't in the show that much? Is that it?

It won't hurt Sonic 3 production-wise, but people are easily swayed on the internet by bad-sounding reviews, too easily in fact. If your Rotten Tomatoes score isn't great people refuse to evaluate a movie on their own.

If Youtube's Professionsl Movie Critic Committee decides they hate a movie (Ghostbusters, Damsel, The Last Jedi, etc) and there's a bunch of ALL CAP THUMBNAILS SAYING SONIC MOVIES ARE BAD NOW I could see it swaying public opinion.

People were making WONKA/THE BATMAN IS SO SO videos and thise movies knocked it out of the park.

I honestly doubt that. If this show does turn out to be bad, the worst it could do would be to not convince fans to give another Sonic movie TV series a chance. I think people will still be interested in the third movie since Shadow is going to be in it. I just hope that this show is really good.

Okay, it’s out and I had a day off for (canceled) travel plans so I’m watching it now.

Who knows? Maybe this show's actually got some good juice to it, maybe Knucklemania's more alive than ever.

Ultimately, a good show is a good show. If Knuckles is barely in it, that's disappointing, but that won't mean the show itself won't be good (not that it's wrong to complain about the lack of Knuckles in the Knuckles show of course).

I’m liking it so far, but it’s got a 57% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Probably the die hard Sonic fans.

Seems to be performing better on RT now with a 69% critics score and 74% audience share

I can see how people would have wanted more Knuckles focus, but I don’t hate this show, personally.

I do think they will need to do space, either in animated format, or in the movies, before too long.

This show was.... fucking terrible.

God.... man..... Ugh.... I was just so done with it by episode 3.

I liked it a lot personally.

I enjoyed it, but I’m sorry you feel different.

I think the show is at its best when it is focusing on Knuckles and Wade bonding.

I did shed a few happy tears when Knuckles glided in episode 2

Also was that Iblis in Episode 4?

Thank god they subverted the whole "you picked the wrong day to mess with this guy" trope, usually the scene ends up with the character being described coming in and acting like a doofus, but Knux is too much of a straight man badass for any of that and he just gets straight to the butt kicking

One thing I was confused by, Wanda should have been notified of the bounty on Wade's head right, being an FBI agent and all? The whole episode plays and not once does she bring it up

If this is cleared up in later episodes, let me know.

It's not. Her being FBI does nothing for the story. She's just a meaner, more violent version of her brother.

The series is getting a release on physical media, pre-order is available.

Now that the show's out, I have to say, having Pachacamac in it is a very odd choice. It couldn't have been for convenience, because they redesign him completely, and they don't bring up him murdering Longclaw at all. It's like he's an entirely different character. This should have been Tikal.

Knuckles had a Traumatic Super Power Awakening to activate his latent pyro powers. I theorize that this universe's Iblis is a Cosmic Entity that indirectly catalyzed the extinction of the Echnidas. This may segue to Pachacamac being a Helpful Hallucination.
