OP requested not to be pinged.
I'm seconding a cut. The index may be a bit too small to be of worth.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportHmm... just barely a page of past edits, and the last three edits are from 2011, 2019 and 2023. For an index that's been there for that long (alongside the paltry number of entries), that's pathetic.
Cut!

1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 426/1089 (39.12%)Cut if we can't find more tropes to put on it. There are more tropes about works' relationships to their audiences, such as Take That, Audience!.

Cut. Can’t think of much else that could go on this.

back lol✂️✂️
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/ABut indexes don't require inbounds or wicks? They are for sorting, so I don't see what's the issue with this one aside being short.
I'd rather expand with other tropes that address the audience in-work, like Fandom Nod, Meme Acknowledgement and Dear Negative Reader.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupExpansion sounds good.
"As long as I have my comrades with me, I can do anything!" (She/Her) (Current Focus: Cleaning Hell Is That Noise misuse)We could expand. There's a lot of tropes (e.g. Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things) that can be indexed there.
There's so much I wish I could take back.to expand
Changing my vote to expand
This is Idol Tap. (My Troper Wall)Expand the viewer index!
Kirby is awesome.Expand.
Oissu!Tagged the page.
Expanding sounds fine.
Edit: Originally overlooked the fact that Amonimus posted multiple potential additions instead of just Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things being listed in a different post.
Another edit: What about Intended Audience Reaction as another possible addition, since it's about the creators trying to get a specific reaction from the audience? I feel that thinking the audience will respond in a specific way fits an index about what creators think about the audience.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. So far this would make
- Dear Negative Reader: A creator releases a statement responding to negative feedback from the audience.
- Fandom Nod: The creator of a work explicitly acknowledges their fans within said work.
- Intended Audience Reaction: Deliberately aiming for what are usually unexpected reactions from the audience.
- Meme Acknowledgment: A work's creator mentions a meme derived from the work.
- Take That, Audience!: The work makes fun of its own audience.
- This Loser Is You: An unpleasant or unlucky character is intended to represent the audience.
- Viewers Are Geniuses: The work assumes that the audience will know everything being talked about.
- Viewers Are Goldfish: The work repeats stuff that was already explained earlier as if the audience can't remember stuff well.
- Viewers Are Morons: The work explains everything as if the audience is too stupid to figure it out themselves.
- Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: The creator withdraws from the fanbase or punishes them due to the vocal minority becoming a danger in some way.
I saw that Meme Acknowledgment is indexed on Meta-Concepts, and I feel that it might be possible to find more pages on the latter to move to the former. Either way, I think Viewers Are Indexed should be listed as a sub-index of Meta-Concepts, since it currently isn't.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Sure, expand. Here's a longer list; anything that doesn't count?:
- Ascended Fanon: Fanon later becomes Canon.
- Ascended Fan Nickname: A Fan Nickname begins to be used officially.
- Dear Negative Reader: A creator responds to negative feedback from the audience.
- Fandom Nod: A work acknowledges its own fans.
- Fanwork Ban: Fan works are banned by a creator.
- Hire the Critic: A creator hires someone who criticized their own work.
- Intended Audience Reaction: Deliberately invoking reactions from the audience that are usually unexpected.
- Line to God: Fans have the means to directly interact with the creator.
- Make-A-Wish Contribution: A Make-A-Wish (or similar organization) recipient uses their wish to make a contribution to a work.
- Meme Acknowledgement: A work acknowledges a meme that originated from it.
- Official Fan-Submitted Content: Creators have fans send in their ideas for a work.
- Promoted Fanboy: A fan of a work becomes officially involved in some manner.
- Running the Asylum: A work, often long-running, begins to resemble Fanfic due to fans becoming involved or a fandom-like passion emerging among the writers.
- Take That, Audience!: A work makes fun of its own audience.
- This Loser Is You: An unpleasant or unlucky character is intended to represent the audience.
- Teasing Creator: A creator enjoys messing with their audience.
- Trolling Creator: A creator screws with their audience.
- Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: A creator condemns or divorces themselves from fandom due to trouble started by the Vocal Minority.
Expanding seems good. I can't see anything wrong with on a skim.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessChanging vote to expand.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AExpand.
Up until recently I'm more into "yard at best", but it looks like there's enough substance to this expansion to justify keeping this as an index.

1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (all editions) progress: 426/1089 (39.12%)I also don't see anything wrong with jandn's list.
Edit: Copied the list to Sandbox.Viewers Are Indexed to make it easier to work on the list, and since non-mods can't view the source code of others' posts.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.
Crown Description:
Consensus was to expand Viewers Are Indexed's scope to cover what creators think of viewers in ways other than intelligence (but still including intelligence) rename it (a draft for what the expanded index would look like can be found at Sandbox.Viewers Are Indexed). What should the page's new name be?
OP by Yindee
This index, for creator attitudes toward audiences, lists only four tropes. It was launched in 2011 and has accrued less than 350 redirects in that time.
Thoughts: Cuttable.
