Can't wait till we see actual footage
New theme music also a boxWell, good, I'm glad it's not dead.
It's been 3000 years…Meep Meep
New theme music also a boxDamn, Warner bros is really ruining their rep among prospective partners and clients huh?
As for me, this movie sounds interesting, so I'm going to give it a watch.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. If Prime Video really is gonna pick it up, I hope the film will do absolute gangbusters on there. Just to really rub it into Zaslav's face how idiotic his whole strategy is.
Hopefully Zaslav will be fired soon.
Searching for meaning in meaningsIt’s probably going to be Prime. An executive that championed the film works there and they already snatched up a few Batman shows.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire."The best movie of its kind since Roger Rabbit" is such high praise. Does that mean it's better than Looney Tunes: Back in Action? I'll be the judge of that!
Some of the leaked concept art revealed that non-Warner characters like Woody Woodpecker and Roger himself are also going to feature. Huge if true. I need a truly great toons-and-humans flick to wash the taste of that Chip and Dale thing out of my mouth...
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I loved Back in Action as a kid.
.....I haven't rewatched it as an adult though....
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I liked Chip n Dale…
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. So did most people. In fact, it won an Emmy for Outstanding Television Film.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonThank you.
James Gunn has posted a very promising picture of Wile E. on Instagram and tagged this film’s director.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Did not know John Cena was playing the Acme CEO. I wonder how it'll compare to Steve Martin's Acme Chairman role from Back in Action.
I still like Back in Action a lot, if only for it just being overal funnier, and having a bit more biting satire (such as jokes about censoring cartoon violence, Porky and Speedy being politically incorrect, etc.) and having a lot of rewatch bonuses.
That said, there are a few jokes that didn't age well. Most notably Jenna Elfman's character referring to Bugs' crossdressing as "disturbing" comes off as transphobic.
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.Overall, I think Back in Action is the most solid of the three live-action Looney Tunes movies. It feels like plays to the Tunes strength the most and a globe-trotting adventure is a good way to get across the episodic comedy of the shorts in a theatrical story. Joe Dante was a huge Looney Tunes fan, and you could tell while watching it (even if he didn't have the highest opinion of the film after it was finished).
Cena will certainly be far more intimidating.

"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"The thing is, Bugs Bunny's cross-dressing was considered dated and possibly offensive in 2003. Bugs as a trans/non-binary icon wasn't mainstream yet. The movie also pokes fun at Speedy Gonzales's political incorrectness because Americans hadn't yet cottoned that Mexicans love him.
As for John Cena as the Acme CEO... look, I adore Back in Action but Steve Martin's extremely over-the-top performance is probably the least funny thing in it. I really doubt Cena will do a worse job.

Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?That, and Cena has pretty solid comedic chops on his own, with the right direction.

Oh I agree about Steve Martin's performance in Back in Action being the worst thing about it. In fact, I felt the only thing Space Jam: A New Legacy did better at was it had a better villain, and Don Cheadle gave a more enjoyable performance.
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them. The Rescue Rangers movie was (slightly) divisive because it basically has nothing to do with the show beyond lip service and Gadget and Zipper's ugly children.
Looney Tunes has always played fast and loose with the Animated Actors concept as well as the fourth wall, and so if the film did decide to be overtly meta, it wouldn't feel nearly as out of place.
That said, I feel like it wouldn't go that route, anyway.

A behind the scenes picture that got leaked:
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I see what they did there.
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"I wonder if that's an actual number.
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.Do not call it! We don’t wanna annoy some little old lady at random.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.800 numbers are toll-free, usually businesses. You're very unlikely to get a random old woman. Some random business, more likely, but I bet any number that can spell out LAWYER will be a law firm with some serious clout.
Okay, I figured with the sheer amount of drama regarding this movie, I should make a dedicated thread.
Coyote Vs. Acme is a live action/animated courtroom comedy starring the Looney Tunes and based off an article in the New Yorker. Dave Green directs, James Gunn produces and contributes to the script. In the film, Wile E. Coyote decides it’s finally time to sue the Acme company for their shoddy products and hires a lawyer (Will Forte) to help him. John Cena plays the Acme CEO and Lana Condor is the love interest.
Now, in November 2023, WB announced they were going to pull what they did with Batgirl and shelve the film for a tax-write off. This is despite the film being finished and scoring extremely well with test audiences. Naturally there is a huge backlash and even the filmmakers not involved with the film aren’t happy, canceling meetings with WB. So the next week, the studio reverses their decision and agrees to let the filmmakers shop the film to other distributors, with Prime Video being the most likely source.
There. Anything I’m forgetting?
