Anyone Can Die means that every character (including main characters) can be killed off. Eight Deadly Words is about whether the audience cares about these characters, completely different thing. You need to write interesting/relatable characters, it doesn't matter if some of them get killed.

Its not really Writers Block, but I am considered using Anyone Can Die, so how can I pull it off without ending up with the Eight Deadly Words?
