In the distance, what seemed like a black and white heavily armored soldier, with a large spider emblem on their chest was looking and scouting through a Sniper Rifle's scope at the rusty machines that were firing at....something. Whatever it was they were firing at, the soldier was right now not sure.
Hmmmm! I do wonder what they are so focused on shooting at. Another voice, one from an alien inside the soldier's mind(and body) spoke internally on her mind.
"Having heard stories of who leads the hellhole that used to be New York? Maybe someone or something that disagree with how big bad tincan runs the place, Venom." She spoke, removing the magazine from her Sniper Rifle and looking at the ammo left in there. 10 shots, and she only has another full magazine left. Sometimes Walker misses the times where she didn't had to worry about running out of ammo. Fortunately, having an alien symbiote bonded to your body makes the worry about running out of ammo and being defenseless less concerning.
The usual drill then? If they hurt innocents, we shoot? Walker would reinsert the maganize back into the sniper. Not ready to shoot just yet, but finger ready at the trigger once she got enough context who was the target as she kept looking at the scope. It could be just some mere bandits trying to be opportunistic and biting more than they can chew...or innocent people who are targets.
"If so, then yes. All clear to go Weapons free, buddy." Though she'd have to be cautious not to miss or spend too much ammo. Otherwise, she'll have to fall back on the....well, slashing and biting.

Alexander Adams wasn't having a good day. He had just been yeeted into a desolate universe without his warping powers, and while he was no stranger to bad situations, he at least wanted someone to help. Instead he caught the eyes of a squad of Ultron drones, and started running, dodging their lasers as they went. Obviously he could beat them in his sleep, but he didn't wanna stick around to piss off this 'verse's Ultron, especially since he was alone.
"Whoa! I'd rather not get CAPTCHA'd, thank you very much!" he yelps as he thrusts out his hand towards a ruined car, a spool of red web wrapping around it. He grunts and takes hold of it, swinging it over his head towards the drones.

Thorned Rose - Damned Robots
Rose Isley had been wandering around the barren dunes for some time, planting cacti, haworthia, agaves and numerous other succulent plants along the way. She didn't have much success with non-succulent plants due to the harsh environment but she's hoping that would change.
Now she stumbled upon a peculiar person with a spider motif and several of Ultron's drones.
She sighed upon seeing the drones and how they already targeted her (or at least it looked like it assuming they weren't targeting the spider person).
"I am not in the mood to entertain machines today," She said as she waved her arm; decently sized thorns projected through her skin. "But since you're in my way and you originated from humans, I suppose I have to deal with you."
She lunged at the nearest drone, striking it down with her thorned arm. With her other arm, she grabbed a few snake plant seeds from her bag and threw them to the ground. The seeds buried themselves in the soil, intending to sprout within a few seconds as giant, long-flowing leaves that'll grab the drones.

Damian wasn't even supposed to be here.
Really, none of this was supposed to be happening. The apocalypse wasn't supposed to come, the world wasn't supposed to turn into one big desert, and he wasn't supposed to be wandering said desert helping out wherever he could. But for this situation specifically, he wasn't supposed to have stopped near Ultropolis.
But...well, you don't look at someone being shot at by drones and not try to intervene.
"Hold down the fort," Damian muttered to Ace, stepping off the motorcycle and then silently approaching. He surveyed the drones carefully, watching for some sort of weak point—and then sneaking up behind one and punching it in the back of its skull.
"Kept me waiting, haven’t you? Tch. No matter. Dawdle all you’d like. In the end, your defeat remains inevitable."
Under the symbiote helmet/mask as she spotted the targets for the Ultron drones, Walker raised a curious eyebrow at what she was seeing. Some girl that seemed more plant than human, some guy dressed in a bat outfit and....
....Wait.
...Parker? While she didn't exactly knew (or cared much) for the superhero scene, she gained a lot of the symbiote's memories and knowledge through her bond with Venom, and well....she very much knew of the symbiote's complicated relationship with the Spider Man thanks to it. And it really felt like a very weird breakup, in all honesty, even if they both made up thanks to Colonel Flash's involvement.
"...Is that him, Venom?" She asked, as she saw that Spider Man throw a ruined car to one of the drones. After a few moments of silence, as if the symbiote was studying Fate/Spider intently, it then spoke.
...No. It's not Parker. We thought at first, but...it isn't.
"...How did you know?"
...Long story short, body language. When you are bonded to someone, you can just....tell and feel how they work. That....and you can never forget your first.
...The ex analogy really fits sometimes.

Walker shook her head. Still, he imagined that Spider Man to be a good guy, and if so...best to help him, and the two as well...even if he didn't knew much about where they stood. And so, she aimed her sniper rifle to one of the drones that weren't targeted, mainly at the head, and began to fire at them. Even if she was hidden from sight by the others dealing with the drones, loud shots would be heard in the far distance from Agent Venom's gunfire.
The drone was struck, even rusted it was still durable enough, the head unit was taken out but it didn't stop. Two other drones however turned their attention to where the bullet came from, and broke into a dead sprint.
From the remaining drones came a voice. "You won't evade me..." it was the voice of Ultron himself. "You invaded my nation, I can't let you leave after all!"

Ultraman found himself taking cover behind a rock-formation.
He rarely saw the tin-cans leave their little paradise. What could possibly have them out and about?
Then he saw...other people? The fuck were these schmoes doing, trying to die? Then again, that meant more loot for him. Sooooo...go team!
He'd wait and see how this went. The gangster way: Let the goons do the work.
"Doctor, I did say look for the Spymaster. Or should I say Spy....Master?"

He wasn't proud of it, but he began screaming like a little girl when Ultron descended. However, the plant girl and sniper were helping him, so he thought he should return the favor.
"Hey Ferrothorn!" He calls out to Rose. "This dude is a bit much to take on! Maybe we should make like a tree and leaf!" He begins wrapping his strings around debris and trying to pile it between them and the drones to buy them time. Seeing the drones trying to reach the sniper, he throws some of the rocks at them to dissuade them.

Must return. Must return. Just ahead of the other drones, almost as if it was fleeing, rather then chasing, is one with green glowing eyes. Compared to the other drones it looks newer, or, at least, better taken care of - no rust, at least. In its arms it clutches armfuls of food - what looks like army rations. Must return to. Must return to.
It doesn't attack, or fight - instead, it's eyes rest, unerringly on the horizon. Until plants grow near it, and it stops. Green. Green equals plants. Green equals good. Plants equal food. ______ requires food. Green must provide food for ____.
The robot turns, marching through the other drones, repulsers flickering. Compared to the others it seems more aware. It dodges through the plants with single-minded focus and just. Stops. In front of Rose. Be polite. This unit must be polite. "Will Green provide plants for this unit?"

Walker grunted. Guess they wanted to get rid of the long range support ASAP.
"How many shotgun shells left, Venom?"

...Sure, the shotgun would be effective in close range, yet at the same time, she knew storing ammo was for the best.

I'm always hasty, host! Not as much as when I was with Brock, but still.
Two tendrils popped out of her back, shaped like spears. While still focused on shooting down the bots getting close to her that were being held back by that Spider Man, she was at the ready to...well, let out some steam, as Venom would put it, if they got too close to her.

The situation now qualified as Absolutely Terrible.
"The jokes are not helping!" an annoyed Damian called out to the spider-person. He grabbed the shoulders of the drone he'd punched and performed a swift takedown, knocking it to the ground. With any luck, they'd be able to escape before they had to perform a last stand.
(He wasn't ready for that yet. Maybe he should be.)

The drone that Damian had just taken down, turned its head 180 degrees to look at him. "In the name of Hank Pym, you are to halt," it said.
The bullets of Walker did little to the drones, even if rusted and old, but they kept them distracted, especially with the tossing of stones of Fate/Spider. As if on cue another Drone said. "In the name of Ultron you are to halt."
More started to pour out of the city's boundaries, even if they weren't as durable as they used to be there was still plenty of them. It was quickly becoming untenable to continue.
Within the head of the glowing one, an older blonde man appeared before its eyes. "Curious," he said. "You're different, you're cut off, I can't control you... what is different? Who changed you?"
"Fuck." Walker gritted her teeth under the symbiote helmet/mask as it seemed the bullets weren't doing much to the drones. Distracting them, sure, but doing damage? Hell no. Especially considering not only they were getting closer to her, but also more seemed to pour out of the city? She's not feeling up to best case, running out of ammo for all her guns, or worst case....her, Venom and everybody else dying.
She looked at the now empty magazine of her sniper rifle. Only one magazine left. Seems she'll have to-

"Considering my alternatives, Venom...we don't exact have much of a choice." Even old and rusty, those things can take a beating from bullets. They'll have to fall back to avoid being surrounded, and she hoped everybody else wouldn't be overwhelmed. But first...
Her Sniper Rifle was consumed with black goop, absorbed back into Venom's biomass....as then her form started to ripple and change. Her bulky, armored soldier-like form shifted, becoming more slimmer, feminine and more monstrous, not only thanks to the clawed feet and hands, but the 'helmet' was gone, making her look like an alien due to having a maw filled with jagged teeth and blank white eyes. Instead of a soldier, it was like a more feminine version of how Eddie Brock's symbiote form looked like.
"Halt?! Psssssh. Come on, little tincans! We don't mind a little snack!" She said, with a toothy grin on her face. Even if they're now benevolent thanks to being purified, Venom's influence rubs off her a bit too much while in this monstrous form. As the drones got closer, the tendrils in her back would quickly go to attempt to impale one of the drones with the sharp tendrils. If it was successful, it would attempt to pull the drone to her....and then her maw would open very wide, as she'd go in for a big bite for the machine's head, attempting to bite it off with her very sharp teeth.

The word it's looking for is unknown to 96, just how it has so far failed to decide how it should call the female it provides for.

After watching the snake plant seeds sprout into giant vines and aimmed towards the Ultron Drones in an attempt to grab them, Rose was approached by a peculiar drone asking for plants. It looked like it was another one of Ultron's, but considering it's not attacking her and is instead requesting for flora, it's perhaps a machine that went rogue.
"A machine that desires plants? That's something you don't encounter every day... Well, as long as you plant the seeds and give them high quality care, I suppose I'm not against giving you some seeds."
Rose searched in her bag to give the drone random seeds. A few seconds passed and Rose place around a dozen or so seeds that consist of the jade plant, Echeveria, Oxalis triangularis, and strawberry species on top of the drone.
And once Rose is about to return her focus to the battle...
First up, what's a Ferrothorn? Secondly, whoever called out to Rose turns out to be a human in a spider-themed outfit. A damned human, the very species Rose despises with all her heart and soul. Rose was tempted to leave that human be, but he was also fighting off the Ultron drones that she was battling, so much to her chargin, it might be worth teaming up with him.
"Very well, spider-person, although those plant puns are atrocious; I'll assist you on the condition you explain what a Ferrothorn is; sounds like a rare, obscure species that I would gladly love to know."
Taking out of her bag, Rose throws Eastern Prickly Pear seeds a few feet in front of her. They plant themselves in the ground and giant Prickly Pears sprouted up hastily, moving towards the Ultron Drones the spider-person was fighting akin to a feisty mole traveling underground, intending to impale them with their enlarged spines

The drones paused the further out everyone got from the city, and at the prickly pears, they seemed to single mindedly focus on them. Marching towards it, flamethrowers ignited.
For Unit 96, "Hank Pym" frowned a bit. "You've become too different... only for useful scrap now."
The drones continued to advance further and further, stopping at an edge outside of Ultropolis, whatever kept them there, it was a good idea to mark it off... and retreat.
After biting off the head of the Ultron drone, Venom spit out the remains of metal to the floor, the blank white eyes of her current monstrous form squinted as she looked at the situation...and the Ultron Drones currently wielding flamethrowers and aiming them at the plants nearby.
Fire! Ugh, anything but fire!
Not a fan of it either Venom. Let's just stay the fuck away from those things, and hope all of these people get away.

Only one way to find out...
Two black spears manifested from Venom's biomass into her clawed hands, as she would then attempt to aim them both at the drones wanting to burn down the plant lady's plants and impale them. Whenever it succedeed or not, Venom would come out of the cover she had up top on the hill, the symbiote woman waving at everyone to fall back.
"Fall back! We will get overwhelmed by the tin cans if we do not leave them! ...And they aren't tasty snacks at all!"
....She really said the last part. The subtle influence of the symbiote at work again. She supposed it was its own strange way of trying to lighten the mood.

First Ultron, now Venom?! Man, this universe is really pulling out all the stops, huh? Alex groans inwardly as he turns towards the thin-looking symbiote. "Hey, Venom! Have you been eating? You don't look so hot!" he yelps as the drones start preparing their flamethrowers, and he tightens his grip on his thread wrapped around Damian's bike seat. "Any time now, bat guy! We're kinda winging our resistance. Might be a good idea to go!"

The dunes, the sands, the badlands, the wastes. There were many names for the continental states after The End came, magic lost its potency, all the impressive super technologies started to fail, the age of space travel and starships vanished, and the heroes of the world seemed to just... vanish.
Now there's only survivors running among the wasteland, men and women without causes, places of sanctuary either held together by those desperate, or under the rule of Warlords. Many old villains still exist, now running their own Fiefdoms.
The age of old heroes is over... but maybe, a new one can start.
Drones marched through the sand, they would have flown but their repulsor units could no longer sustain lift for them. They were after something, something out in the sands.
"In the name of Ultron, halt," one of them said, raising a blaster arm and firing. Targeting software was off, it was an older unit.
