If you just want to cut a page, you can submit it to the Cut List here. You don't need to post in this thread for that.
As mentioned on the Cut List page itself, cutting is generally seen as a last resort. If it's a Work page for a valid work, we may ask if there have been other attempts to save it. If it's a subpage, we may want to confirm that examples are being moved, not lost entirely.
Cut requests that don't have a reason will be declined.
Posts here may cover the following topics:
- Mod or engineer posts confirming that a cut has been declined.
- Challenges to save something that's already on the Cut List but hasn't been cut yet.
- Queries about recovering or restoring a page that's already been cut.
- Queries about next steps for pages where a cut request was declined (e.g. due to very high inbounds).
- General Cut List policy questions.

Am I stupid or something, or do I just not understand the Recap/ namespace?
Why are entire summaries of movies and TV episodes and fanfictions allowed for recaps? Wasn't it discussed before that these giant summaries that you have to scroll through were not allowed? I distinctly remember a few ATT queries about Amphibia's recap pages literally going through every detail in the episode and those were either deleted or severely shortened.
I know this probably isn't the right place for this discussion, but I'm genuinely confused about it now. Is there a Administrivia page or something that I can go read so that I can get some clarification?
(For the record, I'm not mad at the cut request being denied. I'm more mad because I feel like I go through a Recap/ problem every few months or so and I don't get a straight answer.)

Was it? I believe it was only broadly agreed that every paragraph/minute of footage/etc. should not be exhaustively documented for Wall of Text reasons. When the old Synopsis namespace was folded into Recap, Recap became the place for plot summaries as well as per-episode troping.

Maybe it's just my personal understanding of it, because the two Recap/ pages you linked (for Doom and SM: Homecoming) to me are still way too long. The fact that they're movies may be messing with my thinking of it, though.

Why was my request for Characters.Getsuyoubi No Tawawa declined despite only having 4,252 inbounds? Also I'm just kinda following per the English Localization policy.

Probably because 4252 is a lot for a 2021 page.
Also I don't recall cutting Japanese redirects being a part of English Localization policy (we also kinda don't even have this policy written down IIRC).

if I remember correctly, the work's subpages and example pages (like Characters/) usually just get their redirects cut if it's not the localized version. The main work page keeps a redirect.
I might be wrong though.

Exactly. We don't even know if the pilot is canon or not, just that the show won't remake it.
Restored them.
ETA: Apparently this was an error caused by the "challenged" flag going unnoticed because of the way it's displayed for mods making it not stand out much visually.

~holofan55, I have put the cutlist requests for the Hololive sandboxes under Challenged, as sometimes we need to sandbox existing pages for cleanup purposes. Please consult the VTubers cleanup thread to see if the sandboxes are still needed.
