I personally prefer the original system, but... since that's not an option I guess this is better than nothing.
I, too, would've preferred the old system, but this is the second best option, so yes, I'm all for this. I don't see anything distracting about these flags or their placements at the top. It's a good look for the images.
Thank you both! I'd be happy to undertake the task, if this is the route we go. There'd be no change to existing character images, of course
Yeah if the original can't be kept, this is a good compromise to still keep the flags.
Good compromise
MB Pending | MB Drafts | MB DatesI second this too
I personally don't mind considering these "quality upgrades" of the current images, but mind the transparency jobs.
Thanks ~Synchronicity! If we're all aligned, I can begin the task? Before I do, if I'm understanding you correctly, I need to be mindful of the preference for transparent images where possible when changing anything?
Thanks again,
Lex.

Yes, I meant that the background should still be transparent with the flags. It's not in, for example, in the image in the OP.
Hey, thank you for coming back to me, and for clarifying
I’ll be sure that I follow that requirement when doing any updating, as well as noting this thread.
Thanks again! Lex.
Hi there,
I was kindly advised by Synchronicity to check in here to discuss the below.
Following an Image Pickin’ discussion, flags and other secondary images were voted to be removed from fighting game pages (and all other works), where they used to sit as separate images.
As this feature was in keeping with the spirit of the fighting game genre, I would like to explore one of the alternative options proposed during the discussion. It was suggested that small flag images could be placed within existing character images instead — as per below — which would not go against the new policy. I think a few of the regular contributors to the fighting game pages might like this as an alternative, as some of us were sad to see the flags go.
I'd be happy to manage this process. Let me know what you think.
Lex.
