Much like Guess the Disney Character or Guess the Character/Person/Object, this forum game is dedicated to guessing characters. However, the topic this time around is Paramount. The rules basically follow any other forum game of its type.
- They can come from any form of media owned by Paramount, so long as its narrative is fictional or runs on Kayfabe.
- If a media source is played in one round, it is allowed to be played in the next round.
- The current descriptor must post a recap of the progress for every new page, and edit that post accordingly with the progress in the page.
- A player may declare a stump after 24 hours has passed from the last question and its answer. If this happens, the current descriptor reveals their character, and the next round goes to the stumped player.
- If a question needs to be replaced because it has already been answered, please do not erase the question. Just add the new question below it. In fact, the act of completely erasing a question is frowned upon.
- If you're adding a clue, please keep it related on a Paramount owned basis, as detailed below.
What counts as "Paramount"?
- The character in question must be owned by Paramount Global. This means any character that comes from Paramount Pictures Corporation, Paramount Kids & Family (including anything Nickelodeon-related), Paramount International Networks, CBS Entertainment Group, BET Media Group, or MTV Entertainment Group. Assets owned by Paramount can be found here and here.
- Regardless of if it aired on any non-Paramount network, everything related to Star Trek is able to be considered for the game.
- DreamWorks SKG is a bit of a grey area. They're currently owned by Amblin Entertainment, but Paramount still owns the rights to their library from before 2011. For the sake of consistency, DreamWorks characters up to present day will be allowed, even if Paramount doesn't have the rights to their post-2011 library.
- Paws, Inc. was acquired by Paramount in 2019, so any character related to Garfield and U.S. Acres is considered fair game.
- Paramount shows or films that were made for other platforms like Netflix, such as Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling, Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, and Glitch Techs, still count due to the license being owned by Paramount themselves.
- If a work was merely produced by Paramount but owned by another company, or was made a broadcasting deal with Paramount while being owned by another company even after the deal ended, they do not qualify, such as characters from Tom and Jerry: The Movie, any of the Paramount-produced Peanuts films, or Animaniacs.
If there's any questions or further suggestions, let me know!
