This is a thread engineers can use to communicate with moderation and ask questions about the following engineer duties:
- TLP management.
- Video example management.
- TRS/IP Crowner management.
- Pinning headers and editing thread titles for TRS/IP.
- Editing locked pages.
- Moving pages via page mover tool.
- Create pages in main.
- Move discussion pages
The primary reason why the engineer feature was pushed up was that the admins want the videos to be processed faster so videos approval should be top priority. You guys are free to work on other parts of the site but please try to work on the videos regularly.
Policy notes
- Engineers can unlock TRS threads, but must not unlock Content Violation Discussion threads (as the moderators need to be directly involved in The Content Policy work).
- This thread is visible to all users, as the contents are not confidential. However, only mods and engineers are able to post in it.

Is "(SPOILERS) Botched Suicide" acceptable? I think it's a bit too graphic about what it depicts, personally, but wanted a second opinion.
Edit: I actually already rejected it by accident, but it shouldn't be hard to find in the pile.
Edit 2: The same troper uploaded "Mia as a Mermaid", which I swear I already rejected due to the blood on her wrists. The vid may have been edited a bit, but I'd still like another opinion.

I'd lean toward rejecting that one.
I just locked and morgued a completed IP thread, but then realized that it's not a part of the Engineer duties. Are we actually allowed to do that, or is that supposed to be for mod only?

I'll try to get through the rest of the video backlog by the end of the week, but I work late every day which massively lowers how often I can actually do anything. Would appreciate if anyone else would jump in for a page or two since it fills up fast and my schedule doesn't give me time rn

Is there a limit to editing locked pages? I figure Engineers can handled locked pages thread requests, but it's best to leave a record instead of changing something unilateraly.

What do you mean by limit? I've handled locked request several times, and I just do what the mods do there: report that you've made the requested change up to the latest post, but make a note if there's a request you didn't do.

I've done it like once to fix a minor issue, though I wouldn't do it willy-nilly.

Someone seems to have uploaded the same video (Google Eyes) three times for three different tropes — Villain Song, Create Your Own Villain and Tragic Villain. Is this allowed?

No. If there are three identical clips for different tropes, decline/delete two and copy featured tropes. If one of the clips is longer or is in higher quality, it takes priority.

Is ~Twiddler okay? I notice they haven't made an edit since 4th April. I've been wondering what to do about the IP main suggestion thread but I'm intimidated by it and not entirely sure if I can (I assume Engineers can but I'm not 100% sure).
So I can't think of anything right now... meh.
