This is a thread engineers can use to communicate with moderation and ask questions about the following engineer duties:
- TLP management.
- Video example management.
- TRS/IP Crowner management.
- Pinning headers and editing thread titles for TRS/IP.
- Editing locked pages.
- Moving pages via page mover tool.
- Create pages in main.
- Move discussion pages
The primary reason why the engineer feature was pushed up was that the admins want the videos to be processed faster so videos approval should be top priority. You guys are free to work on other parts of the site but please try to work on the videos regularly.
Policy notes
- Engineers can unlock TRS threads, but must not unlock Content Violation Discussion threads (as the moderators need to be directly involved in The Content Policy work).
- This thread is visible to all users, as the contents are not confidential. However, only mods and engineers are able to post in it.

okay, I think we need to decide how to handle the remaining "Furry Force" video. I'm about to go on a reviewing spree, but that one remains at the bottom.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAnyone else know if there's issues with uploading videos taking many hours as reported by this bug report?

Now monitoring Wishlist and BugsI myself don't upload videos, but two clips that I did got up fairly quickly, but commented there.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI've also always had videos upload fast
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessMine usually take no more than 30 seconds, and rarely even that.
Sidenote, is it ethical to approve your own videos? I usually have kept them waiting but this time I figured I might as well, only after approving some others of course.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I assume if engineers are trusted in approving videos, they are trusted to know if their own videos fit the trope
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI know I've reviewed Willbyr's videos before. I'd personally feel awkward approving my own, but eh.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWhat do we do when someone uploads a bunch of videos from the same franchise from the same trope that are basically functionally identical despite being from different moments? The videos in question are Boss Subtitles examples from Need for Speed: Most Wanted. They're valid, but is clogging up video examples with repetitive videos a concern?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I'd say just one or two are enough.
Agreed, it’s not against the rules or anything but I would prefer a gallery of varied portrayals, which a bazillion repetitive examples from one work doesn’t contribute to.
I wanted to do a batch today, but I feel kinda like trash (it's that week), and want to just spend the rest of the night laying down. Hopefully on Saturday I'll have more energy.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessOkay, cut us down to two pages and nothing older than 1 day old.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI'm embarrassed to admit this but I can't find the button to create a new crowner anymore. IDK where it's visible to engineers/mods.
EDIT: NVM found it in Mod Actions lol. Not sure how to use it yet though, particularly in TLP. I only made crowners before they were mod-exclusive.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Use this thread for creating crowners for TLP.
We are about to push up the first version of the editing toolbar so be on the lookout for possible issues once its live. About 10% of pages have a warning for some minor changes that didn't fully work with the conversion that can be reviewed and changed by a moderator or engineer. You'll see a "Changes need review" over the toolbar button in this case. You can hit the Confirm Changes at the bottom to see what those changes would be and if you confirm the toolbar will be activated for regular users.
Now monitoring Wishlist and Bugs
Just done my first fix on that, for Opera - "Teresa_Żylis-Gara" was in a Wikipedia URL on the page, and the Polish overdot Ż got converted into something that broke the link. Pasting it back once the page was done seemed to fix it, though.
Oh cool! Since its around 10% that means there's something like 70,000 pages that have minor changes like that which need to be confirmed, very annoying we couldn't account for them all. I'll be adding that list to the what needs work tool so we know exactly what pages need it. That's my next major project.
Now monitoring Wishlist and BugsIdk where to point this out but....
So there have been instances of people not being able to embed YouTube vids even when using the proper link. What's up with that?
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AThe video "Sexy Backless Outfit" has a visible asscrack (only part of it though). Is this passable?
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessSlightly leaning on it not being more offensive than Sexy Backless Outfit's own image
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWe have page images with bare asses on here I'm pretty sure, so I think it's okay as long as it's not genitalia or breasts.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Mmm, you're probably right.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAgreed, it's toeing the line but not over IMO.
A heads up for Engineers who may not be aware —
We have an open bug report for problems editing Crowner items. Any markup using apostrophes (bold, italic etc.) breaks as soon as you try to edit the item, displaying backslashes instead. This cannot be fixed at the moment — we can delete all of the formatting to remove the backslashes, but once an item's edited there's no way to make bold or italic display again.
Edit: Twiddler has pointed out that this happens with double quotes as well.
As there's no preview panel on Crowner edits, you won't get any warning if this is about to happen.
With that in mind, please think carefully before making any typo fixes or other Crowner edits that might replace one problem with another.
Thanks!
