Yeah. Most definitely. I hope than when it does get released it will be a legitimate example but its not an example now.

Alright. Since leidbag still hasn't responded (probably won't), I'll just remove it now since it really doesn't fit the bill.

[up][up]Sadly, I don't see that as a possiblity. I'm not Filipino but I watched it with fansubs and it's essentially a romance sitcom with the mecha as a background, we have whole episodes dedicated to the main character's ex girlfriend (Canon Foreigner btw, she was just added to push the love triangle). Also while there are some positive Japanese comments about the series, there are also some that criticize how different the Boazanians are.

On the YMMV page of 3000 Leagues in Search of Mother, there are a lot of countries listed and then "etc."

[up] I love that you've been editing the pages. I've seen you around.

Also someone added A HUGE EXAMPLE about Miraculous Ladybug being massively popular in France AKA its very country of origin. Can I remove that?

Wait no, I misunderstood the entry. It was about Paw Patrol and compared its popularity to Miraculous Ladybug which airs on the same channel in france.

Urusei Yatsura: American fans are decidedly less fond of Lum's Stormtroopers than Japanese fans. A common sentiment among American viewers is that they come across as far too obnoxious in an unfunny way, and take up too much screen time from Ataru and the rest of the main cast. Given how they're a group of entitled nerds who are so obsessed with making Lum theirs that they try to "protect" her from other guys, they're too reminiscent of obnoxious anime incels who lust after fictional characters and treat other fans horribly. Needless to say, their vastly reduced presence in All Stars is seen as an improvement.

I've honestly never seen this opinion. The only characters I've seen get a lot of hate are Ryuunosuke's dad, the other Abusive Parents, Ryoko, and sometimes Nagisa for Die for Our Ship reasons. The Stormtroopers are barely present in the manga or All-Stars, so this post must be about the 80s anime, but in the 80s anime Megane was a Breakout Character who was essentially a fifth main character and Perm was Ataru's Only Friend. Now, I haven't seen every single episode of the original anime, but in those I have seen the group very quickly grows out of the incel stuff and instead get into silly spats with each other and call out Ataru when he's not being nice enough to Lum. The same user added a Values Dissonance post about a gag in the second movie involving the group hosting a Nazi-themed cafe, but that gag is very brief and not indicative of their usual characterization, so I'm really not sure where this is coming from. Maybe it could be Character Perception Evolution from new fans?

[up] I think this troper is using the trope to air their own grievances on the show.
