If two female characters do talk about something other than men a lot, but still tend to talk about men. It still passes right. Because it's pretty hard not to mention the opposite sex in a conversation, the same goes for the less popular (for obvious reasons) reverse bechdel test. For example in my story the female protagonist has a male best friend, but has female friends that she talks about stuff other than men, but sometimes she mentions her male best friend, since they're Platonic Life Partners, and he also mentions her. But it still passes right?

I believe that it passes, indeed.

That said, I'd recommend not being too hung up on individual works passing or failing the test.

As I understand it, the Bechdel Test isn't intended as an indication of the qualities of a given work, but rather as a demonstration in aggregate: The point behind it is that it is (or at least was; I'm not sure of the current state) remarkably difficult to find works that pass.

(Which is, I think, the reason that its bar is so very low: by noting that few works pass even so easy a test, it demonstrates the presence of an overall problem.)

[up] Good good, and my apologies if I was presumptuous!

Well then, my initial answer stands: I do believe that it passes.
