Donnie, Wanting to Have All The Answers

"..."

Donnie raised a drawn-on eyebrow. "I'm not gonna eat you," he said flatly. "Unless you're made of pizza, then all bets are off."

Then his attention was stolen again, this time by an...astronaut? Who wore a costume kinda similar to Jupiter Jim. "Well, if I may make a guess..." Donnie typed away at his wrist-computer, running calculations. "We are in a tertiary meta-verse, accessed through a digital interface."

The last one was a guess, but they wouldn't be able to tell.

"Kept me waiting, haven’t you? Tch. No matter. Dawdle all you’d like. In the end, your defeat remains inevitable."

Tavern One in the City

Shantae furrowed her brow, crossing her arms.

"What do you mean, what's a Scuttle Town? It's where I live! You've never heard of Scuttle Town? Everyone in Sequin Land knows Scuttle Town!" she said, indignantly. Her attention turned to the screaming woman who was currently hugging a girl to death.

"Whoa, whoa! I'm not from Japan, I don't—" she started to say, when they were interrupted by a strange man who Shantae couldn't even begin to fathom. Why is he wearing a bubble on his head? She stared at him up and down. He looked like a soldier. He had that sort of demeanor.

The turtle-man made a hypothesis about where they currently were.

"Okay, okay, I don't understand a word you're talking about, but maybe we can get to the bottom of this. Let's go out and take a look around. Maybe we can find the person who did this to us. Or maybe find a way back home. You two look... a long way off from home, anyway..." she told them. "Come on, guys. Let's go look around, find out where we are. Anyone who wants to come with me, come along!" she exclaimed, trying to speak over the din.

She started walking towards the exit of the tavern, stopping and looking back towards anyone who decided to follow her.

"Oh, sorry for being rude. My name's Shantae! Guardian genie of Scuttle Town. Who are you all?" she asked politely, with a friendly smile on her face.

Donnie, Annoyance Level: 3

"Well, that's the issue, I don't live in 'Sequin Land', I live in New York."

As if this girl couldn't get more frustrating, she then failed to understand any of what he just said. "Tertiary metaverse, it's an overlapping pseudo-reality that pulls from across dimensions—"

And now she was leaving. Incredible. Donnie overdramatically sighed and rolled his eyes. "Alright, fine, I'm..."

...wait a second.

"Genie?" he said, flabbergasted. "But— Are you nuts? You're nuts, aren't you? Genies don't exist!"

"Kept me waiting, haven’t you? Tch. No matter. Dawdle all you’d like. In the end, your defeat remains inevitable."

Tavern
Buzz listened to what the turtle guy had to say, he didn’t quite get what he was saying but he was at least trying to. “Uh-huh, metaverse, digital interface?” Buzz was wearing a sort of polite “Yeah I know what your talking about” if even though he knew once again he didn’t quite get what was said. The space ranger then popped open his wrist communicator. “Buzz Lightyear, mission log, it appears I have…for some reason am not in my quarters even though I should be there…I’m now in a strange place what appears to be a bar of some sort. I’m currently with a turtle guy and a little lady right now…trying to figure out what’s going on…to the best of my ability.” Once he was satisfied he closed his communicator again.

The little belly dancer seemed to have the right idea, she was just leaving the tavern. “Right, intel, that seems to be the…best course of action right now. Lead the way…uh…Shantae.” Buzz though he didn’t know what to do, he felt sticking with some company would help in the meantime. He turned to Donnie: “By the way, I don’t think I caught your name…Mr…Turtle…Man…Guy…I’m Buzz Lightyear, I come in peace.” He said offering a hand to shake the ninja turtle.

Galo and Lio, Promepolis

Across the city of Promepolis, a massive battle was raging. Two gargantuan mechs were locked in combat, and whichever one came out on top would determine the fate of the entire world. The first mech was formerly known as the Deus X Machina, but had recently been rechristened to Lio de Galon, named for its two pilots, Galo and Lio. This mech, clad in black armor and pulsing with green, blue and purple fire, fought ferociously against a larger, more white and monochrome mech that had been nicknamed Krazor X. If Krazor X's pilot, governor Kray Foresight, succeeded in winning the match, then his prototype warp drive would kill hundreds of thousands of Burnish and destroy the entire planet, but if Galo and Lio managed to overpower him in the Lio de Galon, then the planet might be able to be saved.

"Fighting against me is FUTILE! Don't you understand? I'm the HERO here! I'm going to SAVE HUMANITY!!!" Kray bellowed as he unleashed a powerful attack that the Lio de Galon just barely managed to dodge.

"Yeah right!" Galo shot back. "Your stupid warp drive is only gonna burn up the planet, at the cost of countless Burnish lives! You can't make us back down! We're gonna fight tooth and nail, until every spark of hope is gone!"

The Lio de Galon unleashed a powerful fiery attack, which knocked Krazor X backwards, causing Kray to growl and curse.

"ARGH, JUST DIE ALREADY YOU WEAKLINGS!" he yelled. "PERISH LIKE THE VILE ABOMINATIONS THAT YOU ARE! ABSOLUTE ZERO DEATH BEAM!"

With that, Krazor X began charging up a powerful ice cannon, aimed straight at Lio de Galon. However, just as it was about to fire off the beam...time froze.

"HA! What's wrong, Kray? Did your stupid mech shut down?" Galo chuckled victoriously, mocking his frozen opponent.

"No...something's wrong. We need to-" Lio started, but just then, both their visions became blocky and pixelated, only for shadows to consume them both as text and a strange bar appeared...then that was washed away as well.

Galo and Lio, Tavern

"What the hell?!?" Galo yelped as he found himself no longer in the cockpit of the Lio de Galon, but instead in some kind of tavern. "Where are we? Where's Kray?"

"You say this as if I know..." Lio muttered, looking around in confusion as well. "Some kind of weird tavern? What is this? And more importantly, how did we get here...?"

"Well it seems like there's a lot of funny looking guys around here." Galo remarked as he took in all of the pub's bizarre inhabitants. "Maybe one of them knows how we got here!" Before Lio could warn him not to do anything stupid, Galo waved at one of the stranger looking folks, a humanoid turtle of some sort. "Hey! Mr. Turtle Guy! Or girl, I shouldn't assume gender. Anyway, whatever gender you are, do you have any idea how we ended up here? Or where here even is?"

Donnie, Taking a Brief Detour

Donnie waved Buzz off. "Not now. Focused on the impossible—"

And then another person spoke to him.

"...sigh. I have to respond now, don't I?"

Donnie reached up to adjust his goggles. "Well, I'm a brilliant mind, tech genius, lover of all things science and future impossibly smart world-changer, but most people call me Donnie because that's my name."

Beat.

"Now, if you'll excuse me—" He returned his attention to Shantae. "You. Genie. Genies aren't real."

Tavern 1

Enterprise finished taking stock of her belongings and set her bag back on the floor, then turned in her seat to observe the rest of the room more closely and listen in on what conversations she could. "I'll take an Oxy-Cola, please, if you're taking requests and they've got any," she added with a friendly smile to the woman with the particularly vibrant hair who'd flipped over to the other side of the bar. Best not to intake anything alcoholic at this point. Who knew what trials awaited that would be better handled while sober?

That said, she took a breath, clapped her hands to her cheeks once, then nodded to herself and stood. And when she stood, it was with the bearing of someone used to command, straight and aligned, with her hands folded behind her back, and with exceptional self-confidence. "Excuse me, everyone! If I could have your attention, please!" she began, raising her voice with an authoritative bent to her tone. "My name is Enterprise; Pleased to meet you all, though I wish it could be under better circumstances. It's clear that all of us are not where we are supposed to be, and have been somehow transported here against our will. Panicking and yelling won't do us any good, so I would request that everyone please attempt to remain calm. Before we leave the building to explore our potentially hostile surroundings, I believe it would be best to assess what our collective resources and abilities are, with those who are less able staying here in safety while the best-equipped among us organize ourselves into parties and leave to evaluate what awaits us outside, reporting back after a time."

"That said, could I please have a show of hands as to who among us has a mobile communication device?" she asked, holding up her smartphone to demonstrate. "It will be important for us to be able to keep in touch."

Strata Relay, Earth Orbit

Another fortnight, another successful session of trade with itinerant heroes. With all the goods sold off to happy (he assumed, the faces of the Frames he oft dealt with weren't exactly emotive) customers there was little left to haul back to the port beyond Credits and Ducats aplenty. No special funding this time, no visit from that reborn god-king to provide a little assistance on the next raid... No matter, working alone was enriching enough. Baro Ki'Teer let the sigh die in the back of his throat before it could actually be verbalized and stopped for a moment to lean against the hull of his craft.

"Well old friend, once more into the Void. And then, I'm thinking Larunda."

Baro performed a laugh as he slapped the side of the ship a couple of times as though he were clapping someone on the back before the world went dark.

The Tavern (The Other One, With Less People In It)

When Baro opened his eyes again things were vastly more decrepit and entirely different than where he was before. This was not his ship, this wasn't even Strata Relay. This was some halfway-ruined shack-tavern probably on some backwater colony. Baro had no clue how he got here but it wasn't beyond the possibility that he had simply blacked out and regained awareness some indeterminate time later after multiple terrible decisions.

At least if it wasn't for the fact that for some reason some voice he couldn't pinpoint the source of was surprised that people were humans as if there was anything sentient beyond the Sentients that wasn't human.

"Yes, and? Were you expecting something else?"

Baro knew how to roll with it, leaning forward in his chair to prop his chin up with a forearm. Then he realized that the voice in fact had come from the oversized Kavat (whom he would soon come to know as Cheetor) fumbling around the place. That was immensely odd, adding to the long and varied list of things about this situation that were starting to parse as being exceptionally odd. Perhaps there was an altogether stranger explanation at work here.

"Let me guess, you met the dashing stranger too?"

Daisy Buchanan, running around Tavern A

As she called out for her husband and searched around, Daisy found no sign of him.

"Hun, where are you?" She said, hoping that Tom would respond.

No response.

Remembering that she walked into her house before ending up in this tavern, Daisy headed out of the exit. However, it's not even remotely close to Chicago. She was facing a gigantic, intimidating city that's in all shapes, colors and sizes. It's definitely not the early 1920s American cities she was used to.

She slowly backed inside the tavern, realizing that she's nowhere near America right now. There, she heard the scandalously-dressed purple haired girl giving out an offer to explore whatever place they ended up in. Daisy rushed towards the girl and pulled out a couple hundred dollar bills from her wallet. She'd thought she left it in the car, but she had it in hand this entire time, so that was a pleasant surprise.

"I'll take up that offer and pay you 200 dollars for it. I have no idea where I am right now, so I would really love to know. My name is Daisy Buchanan by the way."

Warfarin - Rhodes Island Medical Wing

"Here are the reports for the people rescued from the cave-in in Kazimierz," the rather tall Vouivre informed, handing over a small stack of papers. "A total of fourteen people, none in critical condition. All of them were trapped inside the mine for a long time, though, so I'd adivse giving them something to eat and drink before performing their checkups."

"Alright, good work out there, Saria. I'll make sure to get some food delivered to their rooms."

Warfarin calmly collected the reports and quietly piled them up on a desk. She turned towards Saria with a smile and waved her off.

"Right, you probably need to submit your reports to Kal'tsit too, so don't let me hold you... uhh... are you alright?"

Saria was staring at her hand with a... well, it was always hard to tell with that woman, but the way she was just... opening and closing her fingers was strange.

"Fine. Just... feeling a bit off, I suppose."

"Right. You did spend a lot of time in that mine too. Hold on, I'll get you something to help you out."

The Sarkaz that would definitely fit right into any vampire movie ever made, quickly headed off to a separate room to collect a small bottle of medicine, and hurriedly returned... only to find Saria was completely gone.

"....guess Kal'tsit takes priority. I'll just have to drop these in her room later."

Saria - The Tavern

Even for Rhodes Island standards the environment was abruptly very noisy. It took some time, but eventually Saria managed to regain her focus. What she saw was... beyond strange. She absolutely recalled being in the medical ward of Rhodes Island, so finding herself in what appeared to be a tavern all of a sudden was beyond perplexing to her. And surrounded by people in varying degrees of panic to boot.

It was time to stop, look around, and think.

She was not bound in any way. Neither was anyone else. This, combined with the sheer volume of people present meant it was not a random kidnapping. None of them so far appeared to be responsible for any of this either, judging from the very unsettled looks on some of their faces.

The crying one seemed to be taking responsibility, but... it did not really make any sense. Admitting something like that in front of a panicked crowd was merely begging for a lynching.

Right, it was better to establish some modicum of order before things got out of hand and she had to get physically involved. Fortunately, someone had already started working on that. Thus 174 centimeters of horned woman stood up from a seat, setting a large shield on the table, and proceeded to back Enterprise up.

"That sounds like the safest course of action," she concurred with a nod. "Let's put down the stools, stop slapping each other, stop crying and screaming, take deep breaths, and figure out what our current situation is and where we can go from here."

Stocking - Tavern 1

A quick rummaging revealed that the bar was, in fact, stocked. So that was nice. There was no staff, so Stocking naturally jumped to conclusions and assumed it was abandoned, which meant all the liquor was legally free for anyone to take. Sound logic, if there ever was.

Stocking examined the liquor cabinet, picked something that looked suitably fruity for her tastes, and picked out two glasses, setting them on the counter next to Honeko before examining the bar's stock again.

"Hmph." Stocking clicked her tongue. "I suppose maraschino cherries would have been too much to ask for."

Shrugging, she poured out two glasses, pushing one over to Mai while she sipped at her own. "Bit strong, but not bad. Could use more sugar."

Absentmindedly, she swirled the drink in her hand while looking at the unfolding chaos. "I don't know who kidnapped all of us, but I'm honestly kind of impressed. Can't be easy to roofie this many people. Definitely wasn't the blue-haired crybaby, she's clearly not smart enough."

When Enterprise addressed her, Stocking considered just telling her to fuck off, but the request made her knit her eyebrows (somehow this looked cute, but then, Stocking could make pretty much anything look cute; super angel beauty, natch). "Pretty sure they don't have Oxycontin here. And why would you put it in cola, anyway...?"

Then Enterprise went and addressed the whole bar. Stocking just rolled her eyes, downed her glass, and poured herself another. "Oh yeah, I love getting all buddy-buddy with complete strangers. Every woman for herself, I say. Survival of the fittest, or whatever."

Donnie, Who Has Yet Another Thing to React To

Why were so many things happening?

Donnie sighed, but lifted the hand holding his phone regardless in response to Enterprise. "Made it myself, it's of the everything-proof variety. I don't know how useful having phones is going to be, though, there's no sig...nal..."

Donnie's voice died out, eyes widening as the full implications hit him.

There was no way to contact his brothers. No way to— to tell his family where he'd gone or how they could help him. He was stuck here, alone, and he— he—

He forced himself to swallow, biting down on the rising panic. He wasn't Raph. He could handle being apart from his family for a day. Even if it was unwilling. Maybe this way, he could get things done without them distracting him! Or not understanding anything he was doing!

...

He'd be fine.

He had to be.

Washington D.C., the banks of the Potomoc River

All he knew was that, for whatever reason, he couldn't let this man die. He didn't know why, or what it meant...he barely understood who this person was. Captain America. Steve. Something.

Regardless, as he had left Captain America on the bank, and started to walk away, he wasn't fully sure what he should do next. The flaming remnants of HYDRA were crashing and burning beside him, and even if they weren't...he didn't know that he should go back to them at all. Should he? Was what they were doing so wrong that this man had been willing to fight through stab wounds and bullets to stop it? What was he supposed to-

He came to a sudden stop, blinking a few times at the sensation. He wasn't unused to the feeling of his mechanical arm glitching out now and then, which was usually swiftly repaired by his handlers. But it was more as though something was happening to his entire body, that something was malfunctioning somewhere.

His vision going black was not unexpected either, but the strange...loading? What was-

Inside the tavern

Along with the general chaos, panic, and disorder currently going on in one of the taverns, there was a man who seemed to be far less panicked than the rest. If anything, he seemed mostly mildly confused.

He also was soaking wet, bloody, and holding one arm at an awkward, clearly injured angle, supporting it with his other arm, that appeared to be made of metal.

Robo-Ky and the Bakery

In a lone Bakery in a town, behind the sweets and cake, Robo-Ky was eating a donut, enjoying himself from once in his life; he has his body back, his job is back up and running and this bakery is doing great, he grabs some fabric softener and seeing that he has already a good number of them from payment of his mercenary work, he was ready to enjoy his reward, he walks out of the back of the bakery to one of those laundry buildings, while getting stopped by the occasional child and stray animal, he finally made it.

But as he made it to the door and grabbed the doorknob, he felt his whole body stuck; he was unable to move, to say anything, was he getting a bug? Oh come on; this was a new body! His body fell on his back and from his vision; he could see a green bar filling up and came to one idea; this body had a virus in it! But before he could even try anything, he disappeared from his world and to another, his vision turning dark.

Tavern B

As his body turns back on, he heard the sound of screaming; his body gets up with the speed and perception of a machine and sees the cause of this screaming, a wild animal, a wild talking animal; he feels like he could be surprised by this; but from his lifetime he has seen some weird stuff.

"Hey there, nice talking kitty" he says fulling getting up; he quickly checked himself to see if he still had his weapons and lucky on the ground, he grabs his blade hiding it behind him to hopefully not scare this possibly magical animal into combat, "I'm a good robot, what's your name?" He was speaking to them in a simple talk to them before turning to hear a human wearing armor talking about a dashing stranger to the animal, confused, a bit pissed, and worried for the safety of the people, he soon talks to Baro, "Dude what are you doing? That's a possibly magical talking animal you are talking to" he pointed to the animal and spoke to them, his mouth moving up and down like a puppet or a nutcracker.

Second tavern, beast mode

Rolling around and finding his four feet in one fluid motion, Cheetor quickly settled onto his haunches, cocking his head at the oddly dressed... human, he supposed, although they didn't look anything like what the old historical records seemed to depict. "Stranger? Is... I mean, a moment ago, I was running for my life and now I'm-" He stopped for a moment and flicked his tail back and forth, as though something didn't add up.

"You are a human, right? I just... I thought you guys were all gone. Or something." It was a stupid thing to say out loud, sure, but given the kind of day he'd been having up until this point he needed something to hold on to.

At which point a second robot showed up, and the young Cybertronian practically collapsed in relief. "Oh, thank Primus! Is this... you're a Maximal, right? Where are we, one of the colonies?" He paused, and his expressioned turned darker. "Those tank things... they couldn't have made it out this far, right?"

Sayaka

The Tavern

Sayaka heard the lady in a suit mention she was from Japan, along with the woman in the red outfit.
So this isn't Japan?
And then she heard the crying blue-haired girl say that she didn't mean to isekai us.
Isekai? As in the trashy light novels Nakazawa-kun reads all the time? Mami senpai never told me about isekais
Then again, if magical girls were real, isekais could be real as well. She looked around as new figures kept materializing.
As Enterprise asked if anyone had a smartphone, Sayaka pulled hers out of her pocket and unlocked the screen. It did not seem to be able to connect to her carrier.
Same as in a witch's barrier, Sayaka thought.
Sayaka went up and said "I have a smartphone too, but I can't get a signal"

Shantae huffed, furrowing her brow at Donnie.

"Of course genies are real!" she said. "They used to be the protectors of Sequin Land. The heroes of the realm. I know you're not from Sequin Land, and I definitely haven't heard of any place called New York, but to say genies aren't real definitely rubs me the wrong way, Mr. Donnie!" she exclaimed. "I am one! Well, I'm only half genie, but that doesn't mean— ugh, whatever!"

She sighed, looking up and noticing that a couple people had walked up to take them up on her offer. There was an adorable furry character who Shantae couldn't help but smile at. She knelt down and shook Teemo's hand.

"Nice to meet you! You're a scout? That's wonderful! Maybe you can help us find whatever's done this to us and brought us here. I'm Shantae," she introduced to the little Yordle. She stood up, glancing back around. One lady in particular handed Shantae a bunch of... pieces of paper?

"Uh, nice to meet you, Daisy," Shantae introduced. "I'm Shantae. Guardian Genie of Scuttle Town! And I don't know where I am either, or... what this stuff is," she replied, taking the slips of green paper that Daisy seemed to think were currency and looking them over in confusion. "Aaa-HaaAahaa..." Unfortunately for Nia, her shouting only made her even more shaken up, apologizing profusely... if she was able to get a word out in her current predicament.

Fortunately for the bar, the appearance of someone trying to take the lead and instill order- Helps that she's backed up by another strict-looking horned woman- made her whimper just a little less.

That's not to say Kobeni's nerves are calmed down. Not at all. Far from it. But at least she shakily reached down her pocket and slowly retrieved her smartphone out. "H-h-hhh-here...!"

Robo-Ky made a "smile" though it was hard to make one if your mouth is just a rectangle and walked closer to him before the animal mentioned him being a Maximal, he got even more confused when it mentioned something about humans being gone, "Alright this is very much awkward to say to you, but my name is Robo-Ky and humans are very much not extinct" He then holsters his sword on his belt and scratches his chin "I guess you're a wild animal or something? I hope that is not an insult in your animal kingdom" he then faced to face with Cheetor on his knees "I'm going to pet you to calm you down and hopefully my cold hard metal doesn't freak you out" he says reaching his hand out to his head.

I can do it. For the sake of my master and seonbae…

Mai, Tavern 1

Mai took the drink from Stocking, and turned to look at the rest of the bar.

"Is that a giant... turtle? Wait..." Mai seems to have finally figured out something. "This really isn't the Pao Pao Cafe!"

She sipped her alcohol, before looking back at Stocking.

"This is less creepy than the last time I was kidnapped," Mai admitted to her. "Also, this really does need more sugar."

"Hm, maybe I have a phone on me," Mai looked over to Enterprise, beginning to pull out things from her outfit and putting each on the bar... battle fans, giant fans, and a traditional Japanese umbrella. Given what she was wearing, where was Mai Shiranui even keeping all that stuff?!

"I-I don't think I have a phone on me," Mai frowned slightly and began putting the stuff she pulled out back into her clothing, starting with the umbrella. Again, where was she keeping that stuff?!

Daisy Buchanan, Tavern 1

By the looks of it, Shantae is from another country by the simple fact she didn't recognize Daisy's dollar bills as money. Daisy couldn't think of any country that didn't use dollar bills of some find as their currency, so she assumed she was from a far off Oriental island in the Pacific or something similar.

"That is indeed money," Daisy said. "Two dollar bills each worth a hundred each. I'm sure you'll find something to buy with them."

She then chuckled. "Let's go figure out what this place is and what's outside of it — which is the most scary-looking city I'd seen — together. Oh and use your Genie powers too!"

Brigitte Lindholm - Default armor - Paris, France, Overwatch Universe - Mission begins in sixty seconds...

The city was safe, and Null Sector was beaten back. The ostensibly reformed Overwatch group found themselves a government building that had been previously evacuated, in which they intended to debrief with French authorities once they returned; more importantly before that though, they were taking the opportunity to rest up a bit after the battle, and discuss with each other what their next moves would be.

Brigitte Lindholm, still clad in her armor but with her weapon and shield stowed away, walked just behind her godfather and mentor, Reinhardt. Beside her walked another familiar face to Brigitte, though not in familiar attire.

"Angela! It's so strange to see you in your armor!" Brigitte said, looking over with a smile at Doctor Ziegler, otherwise known as Mercy.

"I could say the same for you!" Angela replied, looking over at Brigitte with a curious, almost judgemental look.

"Hey, I'm not a little girl anymore," Brigitte replied, but in a light hearted tone rather than a defensive one.

Ahead of them, Mei, the short scientist in a large winter coat, sat down in a chair. "Where should we go to next, I wonder?" she asked, starting to fiddle with her robot drone companion.

"We could go back to Gibraltar," Winston the talking gorilla suggested.

"Perfect place for us to cool off!" Reinhardt joked, motioning to Mei. Brigitte let out a small, quiet groan; he had been making cold and ice puns practically non-stop since the earlier battle was over.

"Perfect place for us to cool off!"

Why did he just say it again? Brigitte thought to herself, now confused. Even for the ever-corny Reinhardt, telling the same joke twice in a row, uninterrupted, was not his style. She looked back at him and saw him repeating the exact same motion, again.

"Perfect place for us to cool off!" Then he just, abruptly cut back to his original pose again, like a video on loop. Not just Reinhardt either; Mei was also repeatedly going through the same motions. Brigitte tried to look around, to see if it was just the two of them or see more about what was happening, but her body was refusing to move, feeling almost jittering in place. The repeating started to get worse, too.

"Perfect place for us- Perfect place for us- Perfect place for us- Per- Per- Per- Per- Per-"

Abruptly, everything in Brigitte's vision became pixelated for just a moment, before it all went black, except for...

Brigitte Lindholm - Default armor - The more grim tavern - You should've picked any kind of Support.

Brigitte blinked as her vision was now met with a completely different location, some kind of old fashioned bar complete with wood furnishing and some odd decorations, though it seemed kind of dreary and dark overall. More importantly though, it was filled with a lot of people who seemed to be in varying degrees of panic and/or confusion.

"Wh-what just happened? What's going on?" Brigitte thought out loud, the rational side of her brain momentarily failing her as some panic set in. "Reinhardt? Angela? Lena?" she called out, turning and looking around, not seeing any of her friends there with her. Then some of her training kicked in; she didn't really 'relax', but she did realize that she needed to assess some basics first. She looked down and gave herself a quick check; she didn't feel any pain, and seemed to be in one piece, still wearing her armor, with her mace and shield still put away. Good, at least she could still fight, if she needed to.

Next she took another look at the other people in the tavern. There was a collection of people on the sidelines who looked mostly panicked, and in the middle over the remains of a clearly wrecked table was what looked like two omnics and a cheetah. Were the omnics part of Null Sector? They didn't look like the type, but then again, why was the table wrecked? What was with the cheetah? One of the omnics was reaching out to pet it apparently, so was it theirs? Did omnics keep pets normally? That didn't really answer much, but she could start to figure it out.

First, Brigitte reached a hand back and turned on her suit's power, getting it ready. She didn't know if she would have to fight now, but best to be ready; plus, it would mean it would start manufacturing her repair packs, which could help if anyone was injured, even the omnics, potentially. Then she hesitantly took a couple steps forward, but kept a bit of distance between herself and them. "That thing's not dangerous, is it?" Brigitte asked, her first priority being some concern for the safety of the other people in the tavern.

Nia, Tavern 1: At Least Someone's More Qualified

Her ears flattened in frustration, but two girls in white hair took control of the situation (or tried to in some cases). Nia isn't exactly keen in throwing her lot in with perfect strangers, but it beats just being trapped in the chaos on her own. When the question of a communication device is brought up, Nia didn't raise her hand since technology like that is anything but mobile.

She looked at the group that's preparing to leave and a thought occurred to her, should she join them? Sure, they're not exactly the first people she would have picked to be her temporary party, what with a few of them being a turtle-person, a short furry person, and the aforementioned man with a chimney for a foot.

She threw her arms and said to herself, Screw it, staying in a pub full of panicked people's not gonna help. You two have your fun with them.

The group surrounding the half-genie found themselves their newest member in Nia, "Got room for one more?"

"I treasure every day with you, darling." "No need to be so sappy, love." "You know that's how she is, Nia." - AU!Pyra, Nia, Mythra
