Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Serebii, Bulbapedia, and PokemonDB are all great resources for research for your starter Pokemon.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Very much interest!
I said it already, but interest!

be nice to benjamin it's not his fault he got beat up by a microbehey what if someone who doesn't know a single practical thing about Pokémon signed up to a Pokémon RP
that sounds like a really terrible idea doesn't it
- Name: Blaze Rhys
- Age: 15
- Appearance: [1]◊ [2]◊
- Personality: A sheltered, but curious girl, Blaze is naïve but extremely excitable about new experiences; particularly all things Pokémon and exploring her surroundings. Though somewhat put out by her lack of knowledge regarding supposedly basic information, she is all too eager to learn and willingly throws herself full force into any situation that she can take advantage of, all to improve herself. However, her sheltered upbringing makes her easily tricked by others she trusts, and she tends not to handle betrayals very well even if they're only perceived. She also tends to be somewhat tentative around new people when first meeting them, but she's quick to get used to them due to her sheer enthusiasm overpowering any timidity.
- Items: Blaze carries some basic camping equipment in her rucksack, consisting of a small one-person tent and a sleeping bag, some simple cooking equipment, and even a bed for her Pokémon to sleep in. She also carries with her around a half-dozen basic Pokéballs, a few potions, and some knickknacks from home that she couldn't bear to part with. Otherwise, Blaze travels very lightly due to her relative inexperience with the appropriate trainer gear.
- History: Growing up in a rather isolated village, Blaze was very much sheltered from the outside world by her paranoid parents, which placed her in the odd position of never really comprehending the nature of Pokémon much unlike her peers. However, her enthusiasm for the creatures and her incessant pestering over the years have finally caused her parents to cave despite their misgivings, and so at long last Blaze has been allowed to go out into the world and learn how to be a Pokémon trainer. Leaving her home and venturing out into the wild, Blaze has headed straight towards Tuloh; eager to discover the world she's missed all her life.
- Starter Pokemon:
- Species: Vulpix
- Gender: Male
- Nickname: Willow
- Ability:
- Flash Fire: This ability enables Willow to negate damage from any fire-type moves delivered from his opponent onto him, while simultaneously charging his own fire-type moves on the initial hit. Subsequent absorptions don't raise his power any higher after the fact, but the effect lingers for as long as the battle continues once it is used.
- Moves:
- Tail Whip (Lvl. 4): Willow wags his tails at his opponent, acting friendly towards them and making them somewhat drop their guard.
- Roar (Lvl. 7): Willow lets out as fearsome of a roar as he can muster, hoping to intimidate his opponent into retreating. However, this tends to work better on wild Pokémon than battle-trained Pokémon.
- Quick Attack (Lvl. 10): Willow zips towards his opponent in a charge so fast that he becomes imperceptible. Due to his sheer speed, this move tends to take precedence against his opponent's.
- Heat Wave (Tutor Move): Willow breathes an inferno of fire towards his opponent, dealing a significant amount of fire damage if successful. In Willow's case, in particular, using this move tends to wind him significantly and weaken his attack strength after the fact.
- Personality: Willow is a protective, feisty little Vulpix with a fierce loyalty towards his owner, and a sweet side that only shows itself to those he trusts. Willow is highly affectionate with his friends and tends to act more like a kit with how attention-hungry he can be, and has a particularly cheeky side that often gets him into trouble. However, his focus is unshakeable whenever he's in battle, and he becomes a fiery force to be reckoned with even despite his diminutive size.

borkInterest.
I can do it. For the sake of my master and seonbae…~Enirboreh: This looks like a fun character. Blaze Rhys and Willow the Vulpix are Accepted!
I took the liberty of rolling for Willow's ability. Willow has the Flash Fire ability, which makes Willow immune to Fire-type moves, and when he would take a Fire-type attack, his own Fire-type attacks would strengthen in power for the rest of the battle. Please go ahead and add Willow's ability to the signup.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Dunzo!
borkAn ability isn't a move, it's a passive effect. It isn't something Willow needs to activate. I would list Ability as its own entry in Vulpix's signup.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Ah, gotcha. Is that better?
bork- Name: Mason Bridges
- Age: 15
- Appearance: Like this! But with silver/white hair.◊
- Personality: Mason ADORES his Pokemon, whichever ones he would be able to find. Having grown up with his parents both being trainers, his mother a Coordinator and his dad a Gym-hopper, he learned of their experiences and wished to have some of his own. Especially that of the Legendary Pokemon.
- Items: The usual, 6 Pokeballs, some Potions and antidotes, a bedroll, a tent, an umbrella and a change of snow clothes in case it gets REALLY cold.
- History: Having grown up in Sinnoh, Mason has had dreams of being a Pokemon trainer in a way to make his mother and father proud. He learned as much as he could about them, their behaviors, moves, and everything of the like. But he wasn't content with just following in their footsteps, he wanted to go out on his own and find his own continent to explore, to mark as his own. In addition, with the stories of Legendaries filling his mind, Mason had another goal in question: to find, and befriend, not necessarily capture, but certainly meet the Legendaries he's heard such tale...and maybe catch one or two if they'd be so willing.
- Starter Pokemon: Tell me a little about your desired Starter Pokemon.
- Species: Chimchar
- Gender: Male
- Nickname: None
- Ability: Blaze.
- Moves: Scratch (LV 1), Ember (LV 7), Taunt (LV 9), Fire Punch (Egg Move)
- Personality: Chimchar is all about fighting and getting into scraps with anyone he can get with. He enjoys fighting more than anything, but really, deep down, he wants to keep Mason safe and will fight anyone, or anyTHING, to do so, seeing him as his best friend. As such, he's eager to evolve so he can become even stronger.

Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?-Enirboreh: Yes, that's better.
-Michael DJ 54 : Your trainer looks good. Your Chimchar also looks good, though as stated in the signup you're allowed to replace one of Chimchar's four level-up moves with an Egg Move of your choice.
I rolled for Chimchar's ability, and it is Blaze. Blaze, for those who are unaware, strengthens Chimchar's Fire-type moves when it's at low health.
Once you edit, I can accept your character.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Might make a few more adjustments if necessary, still kinda unsure on the backstory, for example.
- Name: Jacques Wearth. He'll settle for just Jack, though.
- Age: 14.
- Appearance: More or less. Usually a bit happier looking than this. Definitely on the short side at 4'6/137cm and slightly more blue-ish hair, I suppose.
- Personality: Jack is the sort who probably thinks and worries a bit TOO much, trying to plan out for every possibility to try and do well that sometimes it's difficult to enjoy the journey he's on. Granted, this does tend to lead to a surprising amount of maturity and composure yet at the same time, usually seems to put other people before himself and helping where he can while doing his best to mask jealousy at those taking more fancier things for granted.
- As for being a trainer, that concern and putting others before himself extends here, doing his best to be encouraging and supportive to his Pokemon, having complete faith in their abilities to the point he'd throw himself in the way of an attack if things were dire enough. ...And if that wasn't against the rules in a typical Pokemon battle.
- Items: As mentioned above...and below, Jack does his best to be as thrifty as he can be and make every dollar count in terms of value, settling for Pokeballs with the occasional Premier Ball, Fresh Water, a few Lumiose Galette from back home and whatever berries he could find (The REALLY common ones, like Oran or Cheri, for example).
- For stuff outside of battles, beyond a simple tent and sleeping bag, an umbrella for rainy/really bright weather and very, VERY outdated Pokegear to stay in contact with his family or check where he is, Jack's lacking in equipment. Whatever the journey has ahead, he's hoping he'll be able to make due with what he has for the time being.
- History: Compared to most trainers who go out into the world, eager for an adventure or come from families known for amazing trainers, coordinators or researchers...Jack's journey is more of a necessity to put food on the table and repay a debt and loans his parents mostly bankrupted themselves. (Whether it was foolishly trying to join Team Flare...days before it got disbanded no less or simply living an extravagant life-style compared to most who'd live in Kalos who'd consider it overkill, it's not exactly clear.)
- With his parents having no interest on becoming trainers themselves and focused on their own careers, his younger siblings being too young to becomes trainers themselves, Jack soon found himself with a ticket to the Tuloh region, poorly prepared and hoping to, if not become the best and have the prestige that comes with, at least be good enough!
- Starter Pokemon
- Species: Azurill.
- Gender: Female.
- Nickname: Aquelapin/Aqua.
- Moves: Splash & Water Gun (Level 1), Charm (Level 10). Aqua Jet. (Egg Move.)
- Ability: Huge Power.
- Personality: In...complete contrast to it's trainer, Aqua acts more like spoilt princess, haughty, a bit TOO overconfident despite it's stature and constantly does her best to be the center of attention that make some wonder if Jack ended up stuck with her in a trade. That said, she DOES usually follow orders in battle, even if, again, she considers most opponents beneath her.
- Other: Would've gone with Aqua Jet for an Egg Move, but that's not until Gen 8.

Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.-The Real Wren : Your trainer looks good. I said in the signup that I would be willing to allow interesting move choices from Gen 8, so go ahead and take Aqua Jet as your Egg Move choice. The reason I went with Gen 7 is not only did numerous Pokemon get pruned in Gen 8, but also various moves. So I wanted to allow for more choice.
Let me know when you've decided between Azurill and Marill, and I can go ahead and accept your character. Either way, I've gone ahead and rolled Aqua's ability. You got quite lucky here, Aqua ended up with the Huge Power ability. This effectively makes her twice as strong as the average Azurill/Marill. Or in game terms, doubles Aqua's Attack stat.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Adjusted, hope that’s all okay?
Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?-Michael DJ 54 : Looks good to me! Mason Bridges and his Chimchar are Accepted!
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Going with Azurill then and adjusted the sheet to match. Thanks for the clarification.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.-The Real Wren : Looks good now! Jacques Wearth and Aquelapin the Azurill are Accepted! Remember to add Huge Power to Aqua's sheet.

Discussion thread is here. RP thread is here.
A middle-aged gentleman in a brown suit, with a pair of pince-nez glasses, thinning light brown hair, and a goatee stepped into view. He held a Poke Ball in his gloved hand.
"Why hello there! Welcome to the world of Pokemon. My name is Professor Hawthorn. My expertise is in the relationship between humans and Pokemon. The Tuloh region is inhabited by many different types of Pokemon, of all different shapes and sizes. For many people, Pokemon are companions and friends. Others use them for battling."
He tossed the Pokeball up into the air, and with a whoosh and a flash of light, a small, rotund raccoon-like Pokemon with a long tail and a white belly appeared. The Pokemon stood up on its tail and surveyed the environment, then hopped up and down for a bit.
"Sentret!" it chirped with a smile, before returning to its feet.
"But there are still many mysteries about Pokemon. I intend to discover the depths of the bond between humans and Pokemon. To this end, I am going to be sharing my collection of Pokemon from around the world with new trainers, hopefully helping them to start their very own Pokemon journey!" He held the Poke Ball out and pressed the button on its center, returning Sentret to the Poke Ball with a red flash.
"Come meet me in Aleph Town at my laboratory! I look forward to meeting all of you soon!"
Hello, TV Tropes! My name is AllHailThrall and this is the signup thread for Pokemon: The Omega League! This is going to be an anime-style Pokemon RP involving your trainers of creation traveling from town to town, catching Pokemon and competing in gym competitions (see below).
This game takes place in the fictional region of Tuloh, a region which contains Pokemon from all over the world. Most Pokemon will be obtainable here, though Legendaries and particularly rare/unique Pokemon will be story events if they are obtainable at all.
Trainers will receive their starter Pokemon from Professor Hawthorn in Aleph Town, from his vast collection of Pokemon from all across the world. You may pick any Pokemon barring the following:
Your chosen Pokemon (which is given to your trainer by Prof. Hawthorn after his Lucario reads their aura) will be treated as Lv. 10, and will have all of its starting moveset in addition to one Egg Move of your choice. If your chosen Pokemon has no Egg Moves, you may instead select one Move Tutor move. When chosen, I will randomly determine your chosen Pokemon’s ability (49% Ability 1, 49% ability 2, 2% hidden ability).
As your character travels to the eight gym towns of Tuloh, they will participate in Gym Competitions. These are similar to the Island Trials of Alola and the Orange Island League of the anime. The trainer’s group will participate in open challenges to prove their worth, which depend on the gym in question. Then, the group trainers will participate in a Triple Battle (3 trainers vs 3 gym trainers, including the Gym Leader themselves).
Those who collect all 8 badges will be given the privilege to compete in the Pokemon League Omegana Championship, the winners of which will be given the opportunity to challenge the Elite 4 and the Champion.
If you arrive later, don't worry! Prof. Hawthorn's lab is always open.
Now it's time to introduce yourself.
