You don't see the sniper on the battlefield. At all.
If you can, then they would be failures as snipers.
Gunslingers on the other hand, you see up front in the front of the battlefield.
They carry handguns, they have to be up-close and personal to even hit anything.
There you go.
Thanks.
If anyone else has anything to add, feel free.

One Strip! One Strip! The Gun Slinger is the tank. Draws the enemies' focus.
The Cold Sniper is the damage. Kills them fast.
Get yourself a medic and you've got the holy trio.

Award-winning screenwriter. Directed some movies. Trying to earn a Creator page. I do feedback here.I would perhaps classify them like so:
The Gunslinger is a remarkably fast shot, and impressively accurate—especially given the aforementioned speed. However, they deal primarily in small arms, and as a result their accuracy and effectiveness falls primarily within the short to medium range.
Conversely, the Sniper has incredible range, and accuracy over that range—but fires considerably more slowly.
In addition, the Sniper will tend to move little, relying on camouflage or concealment for protection. As a result, they will tend to be less effective against targets that move behind cover or into structures.
Conversely, the Gunslinger is mobile, allowing them to comfortably advance on or flank targets, thus giving them a bit more tactical flexibility.
My Games & WritingOne thing I'd consider is emphasizing one as a performer of sorts and the other other as a technician.
Being a sniper is more than just shooting from a distance. See Golgo 13 for a good example. It involves a lot of research, planning, positioning, etc. I'd make them far more the tactician.
With the gunslinger, since they're up close and personal, I'd have them as a more action-oriented person who risks themselves much more.
Improving as an author, one video at a time."https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DamagerHealerTank"
That's funny—shouldn't they add "Sneak" to that list?
I suspect that "sneaks" tend to be "damagers" under that schema—slipping past enemy defences to deal back-stab damage or status-effects.
My Games & Writing
After reading through The Gun Slinger, Friendly Sniper and Cold Sniper, I starting thinking of the differences if any between them.
Obviously, the differences between a Friendly Sniper and a Cold Sniper are pretty much right there in the names, I'm trying to figure out how you'd differentiate between a Sniper and a Gunslinger.
Maybe have the latter do some trick shots, while the former focuses more on long range?. Or perhaps it's less on how they use their skills and more on demeanour?
Any suggestions?
