The combo of ghosts and video gaming is odd, to say the least. But you cannot deny it's effective. Gero is having more trouble than I expected, I have to wonder how he gets out of this.

The "Let's talk it out as equals" sequence is toxic parenting in a nutshell. Love that shot.

Chapter 70: I do not buy that Gero should be having trouble with his current opponent. In particular, why is Gero only buffing his physical stats? Take a page from One Piece’s Magellan: use corrosive acid, use teargass, whatever, do it.

I think it's mostly because the Ghost User's powers are so fucking weird and he's been trying to play it cautious as a result. He has very little idea of what his opponent will do next and what it means for him. Imagination is for when you understand the rules well enough to start breaking them, especially for someone as careful and methodical as Gero tends to be.

Woah, forgot about this thread! We've missed discussion about the latest arc, where Gero goes against the Gun Users, though the real star of the arc is the bumbling Beppu, a Gun User who questioned the aggressive practices of his clan. Hilarious how he powered up through the power of fanboying over Kinosaki. Curious to know if he'll be a recurring fixture in the cast going forward.

The house date chapter was a fun one.

I mean, a lot of the side characters have occasionally popped back in various capacities (e.g. Ureshino and Naruko), so I won't be surprised if he makes several re-appearances in the future. Not expecting him to be a tritagonist or anything of that kind, though.

Absolutely. Also note that Gero's sister is also in a same-sex relationship. I think chances are good for the Gero-Kinosaki endgame.

tbh, that would've been the most cliched outcome given the premise, and for that reason alone I would rather see it end with a different route.

Except it isn't. Besides, Gero was already planning on the letting the poison clan end with him.
