Here, anyone making a fuss is automatically the villain, so any form of activism that blames the people making a fuss (i.e. being trans) is far more palatable than the alternative (i.e. actual feminism), to the establishment.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerSo LGB Alliance has been found to operate out of 55 Tufton Street, the address which is the meeting point/offices of Libertarian lobbyist groups/think tanks associated with Brexit, anti-tax policy and climate change denialism. The network is connected to Koch Industries and the pan-European far-right movement. [1]
This obviously isn’t a surprise to people who pay attention to such things, but it substantiates what we already know.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranAh, so other media have picked it up. I saw that a few days ago, but didn't mention it because I couldn't verify the lone journalist who was tweeting the Ofcom letter.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.New trans rights legislation has passed in Scotland, which the Sunak government threatens to block.
Apparently there’s some kerfuffle with what is devolved competence of the Scottish parliament and what depends on London − and what the legal implications would be in the rest of the UK if the bill was implemented. And of course…
Now that’s one I hadn’t heard before.

Is it just me or does that sound like an oxymoron?
It’s standard these days, the stuff that’s come out of some national equalities ministers…
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranRemember, this “rush” lasted six years and multiple public consultations during which the GC side failed to present any evidence that these changes will cause the things they claim they will.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Or managed to establish why any of their complaints were at all relevant.
Like, the GRC is not actually used as ID anywhere, neither is the birth certificate, and basically nowhere polices their bathrooms and changing rooms that closely, and especially not to the point of checking ID for everyone who wants to use them. (Plus changing rooms are almost never gendered).
Not Three Laws compliant.…Which makes me wonder, what is a "gender certificate" used for? Is it even needed at all?
I’d blind guess that it’s used to change your gender on other documents, though I’m not sure which ones. Driving licences don’t list gender or sex while passports list sex.
“And the Bunny nails it!” ~ Gabrael “If the UN can get through a day without everyone strangling everyone else so can we.” ~ CyranI’d guess it’s to give the process some sort of tangible goal from a government perspective. And to put something concrete in there that it’d be really easy to interfere with and block.
Not Three Laws compliant. All a GRC does is update your birth certificate. That's it. Passport and driving license can be updated without one.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Also something that got missed was the campaigner who decided the appropriate response to losing this vote was to lift her skirt and flash everyone in attendance at the debate. Which included a large number of primary school age children.
And it has been… interesting watching all of the G Cs fall over each other trying to defend that act.

"Yup. That tasted purple."The main reason to get a GRC are:
- If you intend to get married, and don't want to be misgendered and deadnamed on the marriage certificate.
- If you intend to die, and don't want to be posthumously misgendered and deadnamed (this is actually, by some etymologies, the meaning of "deadname"; "the name they'll use for you when you're dead").
"It’s to protect the children, I tell you!"
I see, that makes sense.
I've seen a couple terfs have a complete meltdown because they don't understand why their friends and family are super alienated while the news media is basically fawning all over them. It's because so many of them act in a manner that can charitably be described as "insane".
Not Three Laws compliant. Not surprising that transphobes are so irresponsible with children. Pretty much any accusation they lodge at trans people, they are more than guilty of.

i sniff ground crayons and cheeto dustWhich is odd because I thought a big part of their forced oppression narrative was that we had total control of every media outlet to spout propaganda in our favour against them.
"Yup. That tasted purple."That is hardly unusual contraction. See Fascism and "our inferiors are both inferior and strong enough to be a great danger".
You could create your own summary?

Macron's notesBecause there is totally a debate to be had when one side is saying “let us exist in peace” and the other is “maybe Hitler had some good points”.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Thatcher must be laughing her ass off down in hell.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.
Darn that sure sounds like they're trying to hide the fact that they're not very interested in actually helping trans patients.
