Sonic the Hedgehog film series general

I expected something like it, considering it's a live action show. It doesn't have that much budge for Knuckles appearing all the time.

I imagine it is mostly an issue of budget, but I also can't help but wonder if its a matter of trying to push the original human characters more. The premise as described always has given me pause - Mostly because Wade is not only one of those human characters, but a super minor one. Who cares? But, if the series did fun stuff with Knuckles along the way, I was still open to it.

But if there's too little of Knuckles. I'm kind of back to being not interested.

Not really a good look that the titular character is missing in one episode in a show with only 6 of them.

Is this not literally what we feared the original film would be?

A Human-Focused Adaptation where Sonic is more a guest star despite being the title character?

And they do it to Knuckles instead? I’m baffled. You’d think they’d know what the audience wants at this point.

To think we could've had a Knuckles series with the Chaotix.

At least it's just a side piece that presumably you can watch the third movie without.

Still gonna watch. I already have paramount+ anyway.

So, I guess for anyone who was afraid that the Knuckles show would tie too heavily into the third movie, therefore, forcing you to watch this show in order to understand the third movie, I guess we don't have to worry about that anymore...

I just assumed from the trailers that Wade would be the funny sidekick who gets caught in painful hijinks while we see Knuckles do cool things.

Did they not learn from how people reacted to that wedding scene?

On second thought, did these reviews come from Kotaku, which is a website that is controversial?

Kotaku's controversial for many reasons, but when many different reviews about the Knuckles show are saying the same thing, you can't really blame them here.

So on third thought, for once, Kotaku ISN'T to blame.

Would this have a negative effect on Sonic 3, if this series doesn't meet people's expectations or would people still see Sonic 3 anyway?

Shadow alone will sell Sonic 3 regardless of Knuckles

Sonic 3 is also going to be different from this, most likely, since the focus will be on Sonic and his friends more than the humans.

It would be interesting to see if Sonic does become friends with Shadow at the end of the third movie.

At any rate, reviews are good so far, I’m gonna enjoy the show.

Me too. As long as the series is good, that's all I want.

On one hand, I want this show to focus on Knuckles. On the other hand, I'm the only person on earth who enjoyed the wedding scene in the second film. So I could go either way with this.
