I've gotta admit, I think this game looks pretty sick.
The action looks frantic and fun, and the enemy designs look great. I think they've kind of nailed the whole "biblical angel" aesthetic.

The enemy designs remind me of Bayonetta. (Which makes sense, because she was fighting angels, so...)
Also, there's some (understandable) misinformation going around tying this game in with Parasite Eve. Look, just because the games both have "Eve" in the title and both feature parasitic creatures...

Calling the bad guys "Natives" huh... 
Count me on the train of people that first heard about it next to a Parasite Eve post, but despite that disappointment the game itself still looks hella killer on its own merits.

This game, Black Myth Wukong, Lost Soul Aside, and the recent furry Metroidvania F.I.S.T. shows that China and Korea are really starting to realize the potential of Single Player games on Consoles.
Both countries are more well known for MMO's and Mobile games that never really leave their countries and are generally less popular outside Asia.
All of these games show just what these two can really do if given the chance to make a Single player game, and I'm all for it.

I despise hypocrisy, unless of course it is my own.
This feels like it's going to be more style than substance.
And while I'm perfectly okay with a shiny butt in my face, man, does she do a lot of spinning kicks/graceful flips and stuff. I was getting dizzy just watching her.
I can see the Nier Automata but not really the GOW 2018.
I'll keep an eye out for a sequel assuming this isn't a one and done action title.
EDIT: Seeing her get chainsawed on the monster's face, and that fight in the giant cylindrical area was neat.

x4 There are definitely a lot of cool action games coming out recently; Those, this, Project Magnum, Ultra Age, Soulstice... Feels like a golden age that's escaped the Real Is Brown days that's for sure.

Tech advances are a big one, it's easier then it's ever been to make games. Even giant, sprawling, pretty ones.
Also, like, the Chinese government basically tried banning video games as a concept in 2000. So there's probably more to it in a generational sense.

It helps that, unlike most other studios, Chinese and Korean studios have to learn the latest technology from the ground up, so they can get the most out of it, as most of them have been limited to working on MMO's, MOBA's and Mobile games for a long time now.
It isn't that its harder to develop, its more that it costs more.
