That made me look up if there is a trope for Walpurgisnacht or "witchy things happening at April 30th". There is a Useful Notes page, but not really a trope. Witch tropes in general are probably not all that low on wicks (under-wicked?).
"He betrayed the Staaarks" is not the only problem here.Just based off of the name, I assumed that Green Boy Color was about green being a "Boy color".
No, it's a reference to the original Game Boy's screen being green, combined with the name of the system's successor, the Game Boy Color (just for the sake of wordplay, since the main point of the Game Boy Color is that it can display more colors than green).

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I'm not sure if I've already mentioned that some of the non-themed tropes I've chosen (including this one) are newer tropes (or if I did mention it, it might have been in the meta thread and not this thread), in addition to how a lot of other non-themed tropes are older but have low (or low-ish) wick counts. I decided to add this one because I remembered it being launched at least partially to help with the TRS cleanup of Gainaxing in late 2022.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I lose my mind every time I see that page image. Why would you ever give a skeleton boob bones. Did the maker need to indicate one of the skeletons is a girl that bad? Or did they think boob bones are, in fact, a real thing?
When exposed to the moon's aura, the rings on its body glow faintly and it's filled with a mysterious power.I for one don't think we should be body shaming that poor, malformed skeleton
But yeah it's very odd lol
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessDidn't expect Humongous-Headed Hammer considering it was launched only a few months ago
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIt being new is why I chose it. While it was already on the front page at one point due to the Newest Trope section, that section tends to change quickly enough that some new launches might not be there for very long.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I don't want to sound stupid, but WHAT THE FUCKERSBERG is "The Family for the Whole Family" referencing?
I get what the trope is about, but what is it named after?
Oo oo ah ahI don't think it's a reference to anything specific. "The Family" is an euphemism for the mafia so it's wordplay. I agree that's it's confusing though.
Macron's notesWell, it's becoming clearer now.
Is it "The Mafia for the whole family", then? As is, the mafiosi are turned family-friendly by sheer incompetence?
It is "stupid mobsters that are a staple of family-oriented comedies". Yes, the name sucks.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupGood to know I'm not the only one who thought it could use an "Ambiguous Name" TRS job.
"As long as I have my comrades with me, I can do anything!" (She/Her) (Current Focus: Cleaning Hell Is That Noise misuse)Oh look, it's everyone's favorite trope lol
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI've previously mentioned using the Random Trope button to find candidates for featured tropes, and, well....
Edit: And regarding the conversation about The Family for the Whole Family's name yesterday, I feel like if it turns out it's misused, Mediocre Mobsters or Mediocre Mafia might work as a name.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Whoops... until I saw today's featured trope, I forgot I meant to have Treants as the featured trope for Arbor Day (until now, I forgot I even had any other themed tropes after having Green Boy Color for the Game Boy's Japanese release date), but it turns out I didn't have it lined up properly and it accidentally ended up being the featured trope of the day after Arbor Day.
I guess I should have tried rebooting.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Something I recently started wondering: did the term "treant" originate in Dungeons and Dragons, or does it have an older origin?
Oh no! The DREADED AQUAE MORTIS! No, wait, it's just your imagination.Dungeons & Dragons included ents in the very first original set, but the people with the license to making LOTR tabletop stuff issued a cease and desist, so the name was changed to treants.
I see. Thank you for teaching me something new.
Oh no! The DREADED AQUAE MORTIS! No, wait, it's just your imagination. So, why exactly is Stalking Mission a videogame-exclusive trope? Considering the three non-videogame examples, two lampshade the trope in videogames, but one is just a regular police pursuit on foot, something that is very much a thing in plenty of other works. And why is the trope only relegated to categories about video game difficulty, no comment on espionage or detective tropes?

the statement above is falseBecause nobody has made a page for Cold Pursuit Scene yet.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupToday's featured trope is May the Farce Be with You because it's May 4th.
THE GOLDEN AGE WILL RETURN AGAIN!
The reason for April 20's featured trope being Watch It Stoned (which is no longer displaying since the trope switched over a bit ago) should be obvious, but if anyone's wondering why April 21's (which is showing up now) is Green Boy Color, it's because it's the 35th anniversary of the original Game Boy's Japanese release date (which I mainly remembered since that date is also my 35th birthday). The latter might be the last themed trope for this month, since I mostly add tropes with lower wick counts (double digits or low triple digits) to bring attention to it, and only do themed tropes occasionally.
