5/10 it can be satisfying, but also be used just to be edgy.
"Tatsumi... No matter how you spin it, we commit murder."6/10, can be sad if it was a non-human character I cared about.
Check out my forum game: Rate the above YMMV.6/10
It can be funny at times.

4/10 I think the traditional gender dynamic is overdone. If they want to be messy like their dad that is their right.
5/10, I feel like it's too often used for twist's sake.

I'd like to apologize for all this.7/10. I like it if the character is good at hiding their tracks.

Definitely an interesting character archetype and good at making Grey-and-Grey Morality.

5/10, while they can depress me, it makes sense if the story is very dark or meant to be a tragedy, and their is many good examples.
"Tatsumi... No matter how you spin it, we commit murder."2/10. While a perfectly valid tool for a story, I feel like we can agree that there are way too many Real Life examples. 'Tis not fun.

Just a simple man, making my way through the Tropes.4/10. It’s sweet when he’s protecting a kid, it’s just weird and creepy when the protectee is a teenager or young adult.
(They/them) You don’t know me the way I do4/10 usually a cheap joke.

Another opposite people fall in love trope. I'm OK about it, provided it is done well.

8/10 I like cute things, but I like brutality too, once in a while.

I'm neutral about the meme, but she was beautiful.5/10 it can be funny, but otherwise neutral.

if the foreshadowing is really good and well hidden, and the reveal hits just right it's like bam, chef's kiss
makes you rethink the entire story bc how tf did they sneak that under your nose and wanna experience it again just to catch those moments again with the benefit of hindsight
of course if done bad/too obviously is no different from treating the audience like a buncha braindead schmucks and just shoving a plainly obvious plot point down their throats
It can be a mixed bag, either it is a great trope that makes up for some damn smart writing or just a cheap writing device to connect a jumbled mess. 10/10 when done well, 1/10 when done badly IMO.
Honor-Related Abuse "Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."
3/10 noooooot a big fan of it, to put it mildly.
"Tatsumi... No matter how you spin it, we commit murder."
8/10, but it's just my opinion. I find it beautiful.
