Character-Specific Pages (CSPs) are created when individual characters have so many trope examples that they can't reasonably be included on a shared page.
The Administrivia Character-Specific Pages policy details the rules that apply to these pages. All Character-Specific Pages must also follow the basic How to Create a Character Page policy, as well as the wiki's more general policies about spoilers and examples.
This cleanup thread handles the following tasks:
- Reviewing and approving new CSP proposals. All new potential CSPs must be reviewed and, if necessary, cleaned up before they're created.
- Agreeing on page names for new CSPs.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a new CSP is created.
- Reviewing existing CSPs if there's a concern that they need cleanup, or if it's believed that the character may no longer qualify for a page.
- Merging existing CSPs into other character pages when necessary.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a CSP is removed/merged.
- Creating, updating and cutting redirects, as necessary, to reflect these splits and merges.
Crowners are not normally required but, where appropriate, can be used to formalise decisions on any of these points.
If a character no longer qualifies for a CSP, it's often more practical to turn the CSP into a redirect than to cut the page entirely. This keeps the page history visible to users, and also helps to steer offsite 'inbound' traffic (search engine results) to the right place. With that in mind, cut requests for CSPs may be declined and referred to this thread if they don't have a clear consensus.
Comments linking back to this thread can be added to CSPs when needed - e.g. to confirm their creation was approved, to warn tropers that a cleanup is in progress, or to note the date and outcome of a more recent review.

Mod update 07 Mar 2024, reflecting new CSP policy, updated again 22 Mar 2024 to mention redirects for removed CSPs
- Other options must have been tried first, like splitting pages into further groups.
- The character's folder is cleaned up beforehand, fixing any Zero-Context Examples and Wall of Text entries and removing any outdated, misused, or non-character tropes.
- A character's folder is at least 6,000 words/40,000 characters (with spaces). Here is a byte counter.note
- The current character page bypasses technical limitations and requires a split up.
- A single character takes up the majority of a page or is disproportionately bigger than other folders.
Splitting a character into their own page is a major change and needs to be run by the community before it is enacted. Even if you believe a character meets these requirements, they should be run through this thread first. Having other tropers take a look can help spot issues you may not notice or believe to be issues.
Per How to Create a Character Page, character-specific pages should only include tropes that describe the character. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly). If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask the Are these Character Tropes? thread.
If you have concerns with a general character page, they have their own separate cleanup thread, as do the self-demonstrating character pages.

Characters.Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation (249,788 bytes) has been displaying Too Long Warning, so I was going through the page. The Three Heroines take up 57,338 bytes, The Greyrat and Boreas Family takes 53,597 bytes, and the rest of the page take up 137,853 bytes. Greyrat and Boreas Family could be merged as Major Families.
Should I go ahead with the proposed splits?

In regard to your split idea it would be best to combine the Grayrat and Boreas groups along with those under The Future Generation header as one group, as those under The Future Generation are Rudi’s kids and thus should also be part of the Grayrat/Boreas family group page.
Edit. You can also include the Latreia Household since their also Rudi’s family on his moms side as well.

@Sawkman I don't think Terra should be placed in the Core Team page. She's a member for like 2 episodes before she defects from the team. She should just be placed in the Other Titans section so Raven can be merged back with the other 4 members
ZCEs are cleaned up, and maybe Paul has a bit of extra detail (but I think it's to explain the situation better).

Given how large Kratos's page is + the uncertainty/unlikeliness of whether he could fit into a page, it's best to split his page into three (one for him in general and two specifically about his Greek and Norse incarnations respectively).
Now for the rest of the CSP pages, I believe Odin is the only one besides Kratos who could keep his page.
Atreus's page could be merged with Faye and Kratos's Greek family for a new page, titled Kratos's Family.
Athena, Freya, Mimir, and Sindri/Brok could be merged to make a page simply called Major Supporting Protagonists or something. Maybe we could also add in Orkos, Pandora, Freyr (and his resistance camp), and Hildisvini. I suppose Angrboda could be added as well (can't believe I forgot her in the original post...)
Finally, Zeus, Baldur, and Thor can be merged to form a Main Antagonists page whilst also adding in Ares, Persephone, Thanatos, and the Furies. The respective base pages regarding the Greek and Norse pages will still be large enough IMO. Heimdall could be merged back into the Norse Gods section IMO.
Those aside, if anyone else has any additional comments and suggestions, I'm happy to listen.

Sounds good but a lot of Kratos' entries are still super long and I feel like they should be trimmed before spliting.
Sure thing. Once Kratos's sandbox page is set up, we can determine and see which paragraphs and be trimmed or cut down before we finalize the whole thing. I have been keeping that perspective in mind for a while.
Perhaps Ares's folder could also be moved to the proposed Major Antagonists page? Ares is the main villain of the first game and the reason why the rest of the games happen as they do.

I'm bringing up another Visual Novel, and this time it's not straightforward. Characters.Fate Stay Night has 7 CSP and is divided like this:
- Characters.Fate Stay Night Humans (127,624)
- Characters.Fate Stay Night Shirou Emiya (83,640)
- Characters.Fate Stay Night Rin Tohsaka (55,601)
- Characters.Fate Stay Night Sakura Matou (54,360) (Contains a folder for Dark Sakura)
- Characters.Fate Stay Night Kirei Kotomine (45,647)
- Characters.Fate Stay Night Servants (191,937)
- Characters.Fate Stay Night Saber (70,510) (Contains a folder for Saber Alter)
- Characters.Fate Stay Night Archer (46,983)
- Characters.Fate Stay Night Gilgamesh (63,774)
I'm considering two options.
- With only direct merges to Characters.Fate Stay Night Humans and Characters.Fate Stay Night Servants, I could do that with Sakura (how would I manage Dark Sakura, who's a Walking Spoiler?), Kirei and Archer.
- Create a folder for the three main heroines (Saber, Rin and Sakura). It would total 180,5k characters. And with some trimming it would allow to merge both Emiya and Kirei back into Characters.Fate Stay Night Humans.
Any other ideas?
