In the book, if recall correctly only the first victim dissapears. The others are just found dead. Which does kind of telegraph the twist..

That's a change from the book, where, if memory serves, it's implied to occur in the contemporary times of the 90's.
Edited to add Interesting that the cast list has four young actresses to the book's five prom queen candidates. I wonder if a character is being cut, or if one of the roles is just much smaller than the others.
Edited again: Now Ariana Greenblatt is announced as part of the cast. So I guess there is the fifth prom queen candidate.

Class of '88, so its set in the past. I wonder if previous events will get mentioned in the movie.
