Ah thanks for this thread, I love the PR comics.
Definitely looking forward for the graphic novel, and the art looks much better than from The Psycho Path.
Interesting piece on how Boom obtaining the license was perceived among the industry. Article is about the upcoming Mega Man comic, but it starts about how there where doubts among the industry for a PR comic and how surprising their success ended up being.
Real excited for this. Time Force is a legit good season, Wes and Jen are a great couple, "Long distance relationship between different time periods" is a very creative premise, and I'm curious if the comic will address some of the more... offputting aspects of the future government the Rangers work for; kind of a mastodon in the living room in the show. You can get away with a lot more in a teens-and-up graphic novel than in a Saturday morning kids' show, after all.
Has the Time Force book come out?
Yeah, it's not bad, but...eh.
It's barely about Jen and Wes, it's mostly all Jen, Nadira and Time Force Black, who is Alex's sister.

Well I finally read Sins of the Future.
I enjoyed the focus on Jen and Nadira as an oracle of time. Not sure how I feel about Alex having a sister that was never mentioned before and the retcon to Ferricks being more sinister pre-Frax by experimenting on humans and unintentionally creating Venomark.
This is no dream.
This is Godzilla Vs. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, an official collab between Hasbro and Toho as interpreted by IDW and BOOM! Studios!
Rita tries to annihilate Godzilla with her own brand of monsters and is followed to Godzilla's universe by the Power Rangers, who wind up toe-to-toe with the King of the Monsters themselves.

They've been having fun with crossovers in comics. Who is next? Transformers?
Wake me up at your own risk.I'm legitimately surprised that hasn't happened yet.
They're currently both Hasbro' flagship franchises, and they're their best comics been publish right now, both critically and commercially.
My best guess about why it hasn't happened is probably because Hasbro wants it to be something special. They want their Transformers and Power Rangers crossover to be a event. Add to that IDW is in it's last legs of continuing publishing Transformers, I imagine Hasbro will wait until a new publisher comes in to finally make the crossover happen (and I wouldn't be surprised if Boom takes the license).
I'm kinda surprised they haven't done a PR / Transformers crossover already. There's plenty you could do there; maybe the Autobots become Rangers, maybe they form some kind of part-Transformer-part-Megazord combiner, who knows. If they wanted to get a bit broader with it (which the main comics certainly do sometimes) they could maybe have one of the mechanical villains from a different season team up with the Decepticons.
An Autobot Ranger team fills out pretty easily; obviously Optimus Prime is red, Arcee can be pink, Bumblebee yellow. Others are a bit harder; If we encorporate movie colours Ironhide could be black and Ratchet Green. Blurr's probably the best choice for blue. There's several options for white (since the main comics have Tommy as white now they may do that instead of green).
What might be an issue is that the toys would be harder to make; they released quite a few Lightning Collection figures for the first MMPR/TMNT and they seemed to sell pretty well. I would assume they want to repeat that success. Transformers are larger and more complex and any original Transformer or megazord would need original engineering, which would be much more effort. Although if they went with the "autobots morph into Rangers" idea they could probably just repaint/retool existing Transformers toys. But I can't immediately think of an idea that'd fit into LC. Maybe something could be part of the Transformers Collaborative line instead?
Ninja'd, but agree.

I'd say Ratchet makes more sense for white. Bulkhead, Springer and Hound easily come to mind for green.
Wonder if a crossover with Transformers would involve something like making a Combiners set involving Optimus or something like that, becoming their own Megazord...

Wake me up at your own risk. The sky's the limit when it comes to such a crossover.
A video arguing in favor of a DinoThunder comic.

They've gone for safe bet with another Godzilla series
I figured we could use a thread for this.
To start, a preview for Power Rangers: Sins of the Future, the graphic novel focusing on Jen and Wes from Time Force.
