Riddle me this, does he look a bit silly in the cowl?
But yes, it looks damn good.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I freaking love the costume. It looks a lot like the Arkham Batsuit.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonJudging from the equipment Bruce uses, this is pretty early in his career.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Here's hoping they don't try to justify the Riddler's gimmick by saying he's insane. When you think about it, the Riddler leaving riddles at the scene of the crime isn't really crazy or stupid. It's a display of arrogance and pride to troll the detectives, as if saying you can't stop me even if I give you the clues.
And I would like his riddles to also have riddles within just for an extra layer of deception. Like, his surface riddles are a red herring to hide his true clues.
Of course, I'm just saying rambling about the Riddler because I realize the only reason he's seen as a joke is because nobody wants to put the hard effort of making his riddles genuinely hard for the Dark Knight.
I'm not entirely sold on either Pattinsons' Batman or Bruce, but largely because most of the trailer hovers around him rather than let him be the focus. The costume looks pretty good in the few shots seen, it feels more hard armor compared to the rubberized Burton/Schumacher/Nolan. I do like the tone, it's a noir setting we haven't really gotten before (Nolan was more crime drama and Snyder wasn't much different in that sense), David Fincher was an adequate description of how it feels.
So we got Penguin, Riddler, & Catwoman. And the serial killer is possibly Hush.
Man does Bats have his work cut out for him.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Minus the lack of a collar ring, the Batsuit really reminds me of the Telltale Games' depiction◊. It's rather fitting for a "Year Two" detective-focused version of Bruce. All that build-up is well worth seeing the suit finally in action, and Matt Reeves' DC FanDome commentary implied that they've improved upon the flexibility and comfortable nature compared to previous live-action suits.
While we're on the topic of comparisons:
- A red and black theming decor for the Batman project
- A focus on Batman's detective nature while he's in his early years
- Uhhhhh..."The Batman" is in a title? With a Bat-shape and similar font?
...Look, I just wanted to say its a spiritual successor to Beware the Batman to post this fitting theme:

I don't know about Hush, I'm pretty sure the killer is supposed to be Riddler. The killer left the note, after all, and a closer look at him in freeze-frame shows that he's wearing green clothing and has on a pair of large round glasses, not to mention the constant question mark motifs throughout the trailer all pointing to him as the Big Bad.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonLooks pretty emo, but I like.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianYeah, I don't imagine Hush is going to be in this movie at all. With Riddler, Catwoman and the Penguin, Falcone, the field is already pretty large.
Adding another antagonist (as I doubt Catwoman will be a full-on villain in this) would be overkill at this point.
So Bruce will be called Vengeance for the duration of this movie?
Jokes aside, it is a good trailer.
But is he the night?
Also the Batman better not kill.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Good for this movie to acknowledge that yes, Bruce Wayne does wear black makeup around his eyes in-universe to match the mask. There have been times in previous films when the eye makeup disappears when the mask is taken off, the most blatant being Batman Returns.
I'm looking at the cipher on the greeting card. It uses only six symbols, going 123425 56433.
I know it's gotta be simple, but I can't crack it.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisThis looks good though I admit I've become a bit jaded about "dark and edgy" comic bok movies.
I wouldn't mind seeing a film adaptation of the Hush comic.
Granted we do have the DCAU version which wasn't bad
Why is Battinson so… pale, though? Even when not in costume… He looks kinda sickly…

That’s just how Pattinson looks. He’s infamous for playing as a guy that sparkles in the sunshine after all.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Ya. I think it's just his standard white British guy pastiness XD
I like his take on Bruce as this creepy young billionaire.
Usually Bruce Wayne presents the image of benevolent well built philanthropist idiot playboy but i can see him going for a weird reclusive frail billionaire image since it's his early years and he hasn't really appreciated the Bruce Wayne aspect of himself yet.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I love this trailer. Though I still find the eyeshadow pretty weird. The suit is growing on me. Though again I can't tell if it's pure black or just has really dark grey. Because I have always preferred grey, but I can totally live with black.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadThat looks cool. Reminds me Netflix Daredevil
35 year old white man.I get the feeling they might do what the animated adaptation of Batman Hush did, which was make Riddler and Hush a Composite Character. They did work together in his original debut comic.
You can only write so much in your forum signature. It's not fair that I want to write a piece of writing yet it will cut me off in the midOh, my mistake. I'll ask the mods to change this thread's name to "The Vengeance (2021)." Arrow copied Batman and had Oliver be "The Arrow" for two seasons, so I guess it's Batman's turn to copy Arrow and be "The Vengeance" for two movies.
Out of all the DC films I thought I'd be excited by the trailer for, Batman was not one of them. This feels back to the basics, not too bombastic, gritty, edgy, but not preachy, more noir-like than crime drama, like someone said.
I'm liking those glimpses we got of the Batmobile. It looks like a fusion of Nolan's and Burton's versions, sleek and short with a rocket engine on the back.
Bruce looks sufficiently creepy and that's a take I haven't seen before.
I didn't see Penguin in this trailer. Making Bruce's first super-villain not be the Joker is a bold choice, but I eagerly await The Reveal of Joker pulling everybody's strings.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Apparently Penguin was in the trailer with an unrecognizable Colin Ferrell in makeup
