The first thing I did when I had this urge was just start going through the Lit forum. When I got to the end of the first page, I saw there were 900 topics and decided this would probably take too long.

Then I decided to use the search feature. I used the author name and then the series name in particular I was thinking about. And I got about 5 pages of results without luck. So that didn't pan out either.

Finally, I went to the literature directory and neither the author or any of her series was mentioned in it. Nor was she mentioned in the YA general thread. So I'm hoping that this is safe.

But I need somewhere new to talk about her stuff and preferably in a place that's not basically a fanpage. Because that gets a little repetitive.

Who has read her books? What do you think of them? Which series is better? Do you think she's overhyped? Underhyped? And if you wanna discuss plots, I'd like that too.

I started refreshing myself on her ACOTAR partly for fanfiction and partly because she's working on a new book which I wasn't expecting so I'm all in my new feelings and dwelling on old feelings.

I was wondering if/when someone would make a thread about Maas. She's a writer who both intrigues and frustrates me.

I've read both the ACOTAR and Throne of Glass series. Of the two, I definitely prefer ACOTAR. (Admittedly, part of that could be because I read that series first.) There are parts of TOG I do like, but definitely not as a whole.

I've actually thought about writing a review of TOG, but trying to make my many, many, many thoughts into a coherent review is proving very difficult. :"D

I don't really care for Maas too much, I've seen excerpts of her writing and it's quite unappealing to me. I do find it strange that despite its popularity, there doesn't seem to be too big of a push for an adaptation of it

I've heard that Hulu (?) was planning to adapt Throne of Glass. That was back in 2016, which most likely means it's stuck in development hell, if it hasn't been shelved completely. Truthfully, I wouldn't mind seeing an adaptation take the material and turn it into something that actually follows through on its setups instead retconning itself because the author wanted it to end with all of her favs getting together.
