And as for the Recap page for "Brawl in the Family", there is quite a bit of complaining:
- Downer Ending: Lori and Leni finally stopped fighting over the same dress, but Lincoln inadvertently slips out of what his sisters think to one another, and the whole fight starts all over again. However, it may also count as Laser-Guided Karma for the sisters as they all beat each other to the point of near-death.
- Epic Fail: Everything that happens really. From Lincoln’s attempts to stop the fighting, to the sisters’ choices of rooms, to the communication between everyone, to the parents’ “competency”, to the decisions everyone makes, to the girls’ final solution to stop all the fighting, to Lincoln’s promise to stay out of his sisters’ troubles. And the Sister Fight Protocol itself. Let’s just say the whole episode itself could be considered “Epic Fail of the Loud Family.”
- Insane Troll Logic: The SFP effectively seems to run on this.
- Irony: The whole episode plays out with everyone knowing about the so-called protocol, yet somehow, Lincoln acts as if he’s never heard of it before. This, in spite of being the family’s middle child, along with the fact that he’s supposed to be the show’s main character who knows everything that happens in the house. To add insult to injury, Bobby knows of it as well, despite not even being part of the family!
- The Jinx:
- Laser-Guided Karma: Downplayed, but after spending the entire episode acting like violent maniacs and pushing Lincoln around to make the protocol work, the sisters, thanks to Linc’s slip of the tongue, turn on and pummel the heck out of each other, thus ruining the “protocol” and leaving the whole house a wreck, while Lincoln safely hides with the parents. It’s not impossible to say that the girls all had this coming for the hostility and craziness they had shown all weekend.
- Pet the Dog: After spending the entire episode being useless cowards, Rita and Lynn.Sr let Lincoln bunk in with them in their room when the sisters are all attacking each other.

Oh, I believe in yesterdayProbably cut anything questionable.
I added the show to Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining.
I found something that sounds a little complainy on YMMV.The Loud House S 3 E 19 Everybody Loves Leni Middle Men:
- Harsher in Hindsight: Lynn wanting to prevent Lincoln and Clyde from being bullied on their first day is a heartwarming moment... however, in light of "Schooled!" where Lynn bullies Lincoln, Rusty, and Zach, it makes the event of this episode completely pointless.
- Downer Ending: Well, it's definitely a bit of a drag, I wouldn't call the ending sad. However, it certainly ends on a low note, so IDK.
- Epic Fail: Definitely cut.
- Insane Troll Logic: ZCE.
- Irony: The part about how Lincoln usually knows everything can stay, and how Bobby knows despite not being related could stay, but I'm not sure. Definitely cut "to add insult to injury".
- The Jinx: Cut.
- Laser-Guided Karma: They certainly weren't "violent maniacs" and they didn't "leave the house a wreck", so definitely rephrase that. Not sure if the whole example needs to go or not.
- Pet the Dog: Cut with extreme prejudice.
Also, I think the Harsher in Hindsight can go as well, since I think it was more like a power trip than straight-up bullying.
For every low there is a high.On the Recap page for "Brawl in the Family", Epic Fail, Laser-Guided Karma, Pet the Dog and Irony have already been deleted.
Oh, I believe in yesterdayAre these entries under Common Knowledge and Beam Me Up, Scotty! considered widespread enough misconceptions to count?:
- The Loud House:
- The idea that Lincoln's sisters gang up on him for being the only boy. While they have ganged up on him several times, it was to do with generic Sibling Rivalry such as wanting the best seat in the car, not because he's a boy.
- A lot of people think Luan dresses up like a mime when she's sad. In reality, the only time a sad Luan was dressed up as a mime was in "Ties That Bind" and while those things did share a cause, she wasn't dressed as a mime because she was sad. She was sad because she thought her parents were going to kick her out for being "too loud", and she dressed up as a mime to keep quiet.
- "It's a Loud, Loud, Loud, Loud House" is maligned in the fandom for having the sisters fight Lincoln for the money... except all the siblings were fighting one another for the money; it wasn't ten against one, it was everyone against everyone.
- While it was certainly mean, and uncharacteristically so, for Lincoln's family to make him sleep outside in "No Such Luck", they didn't leave him "out in the cold" like some people claim— it wasn't raining like a few people seem to think, and it didn't seem to be that cold because he wasn't shivering or anything. Likewise, there's no real evidence that it was dangerously hot when he wore the squirrel suit to the beach besides "it's usually hot when people go to the beach".
- Some people think that Luna (because she took him to a rock concert in "For Bros About to Rock"), Lynn (because they're closest in age), or Lucy (because he defended her in "Sleuth or Consequences") is Lincoln's closest sister. In actuality, the evidence seems to be that he loves his sisters equally- when asked who his closest sister was in his vlog, he says that Lucy is— but only because she's closest in distance, suggesting that he doesn't really have a closest sister.
- Luna is sometimes stated to have been interested in classical music before getting into rock, perhaps because she owns a violin. Actually, while she has been somewhat interested in music in general since she was a baby (seen in "Not a Loud"), there was no indication that she was specifically into classical music, and in fact, "For Bros About to Rock" reveals that she had no strong interests until getting into rock.
- The Loud House: Some people think that Fenton the singing toy fox from "The Crying Dame" sings, "Come on, baby, don't you cry". It's actually "Cheer up, baby, don't you cry."
I was the one who added them. They seem to be widespread enough on fan sites, but admittedly I don't know what the border is.
For every low there is a high.Thoughts on the Beam Me Up, Scotty! entry (the last one)?
It sounds valid to me, if people do make that mistake.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. This entry was added on Recap. The Loud House S 2 E 8 No Such Luck Frog Wild:
- Big Bad: Although not usually a real villain, Lynn Jr serves as one for kickstarting the episodes events by threatening Lincoln with her baseball bat and then later starting his bad luck belief.
That’s definitely misuse. Cut it.
Honestly, I’m thinking that said page and its YMMV may need to be locked.
back lolOne can request here, though you would probably need substantial evidence when making a request.
I'm not so sure about this example from YMMV.The Loud House S 4 E 19 Sister Act House Flip:
- Idiot Plot: As stated by Yoshi Player in his review of Season 4, if the Louds hadn't done at least half of the stuff that happened in this episode, then they could've avoided the problem with Flip.
Needs context on what the stuff is that makes the characters so stupid.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I don't think Yoshi Player needs to be mentioned in the example, either.
Oh, I believe in yesterdayIn the show's YMMV page, I think I might have found some more complaining about "No Such Luck" in the What An Idiot section:
- What An Idiot:
- In "No Such Luck", Lincoln is able to easily convince the more rational family members, such as Lisa and Lori, that he is a jinx. All just by telling a painfully transparent lie and performing what is clearly a deliberate slip and fall, and not one of them even so much as talks to Lincoln to find out if he's up to something. And this isn't even getting into the abuse Linclon endures as a result, all because his family is too uncharacteristically stupid and irresponsible to realise what they’re doing to him or that they’re even breaking the law. Even Lincoln himself could count since he never thinks about owning up before it’s too late, run off to any of his friends’ houses for help or better yet, go to the police and have them sort his family out.
Given that one of the show's characters created robots, time travel, and artificial life, I think trying to apply realistic legal outcomes to the show that is clearly not meant to be realistic is a lost cause.
Oh, dear. I found more complaints involving "No Such Luck" and "Brawl in the Family" in the show's main YMMV page:
- Fanon Discontinuity:
- "Brawl in the Family" and "No Such Luck" is this for many fans because of how needlessly cruel they are to Lincolnnote , as well as because of how uncharacteristically idioticnote , selfishnote , immaturenote , hateful and worthlessnote everyone acts. Even worse, the guilty party gets no proper karma or punishment, nor is Lincoln happy in the end.

Oh, I believe in yesterdayGod, we should just call this the "No Suck Luck" and "Brawl in the Family" Cleanup.
We can just dial that back to something like:
- Fanon Discontinuity: Fans prefer to pretend "Brawl in the Family" and "No Such Luck" don't exist, due to how the characters act uncharacteristically stupid and cruel and how much unnecessary suffering Lincoln undergoes in both episodes.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I like that rewrite.
Oh, I believe in yesterdayWould it really count, as the show isn't the most continuity heavy?
Edited by costanton11 on Apr 10th 2021 at 3:06:34 AM
I think it counts as long as a show has some continuity, which TLH does.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. In that case, go ahead with the rewrite.
Nuke it from space!
