Gotta say, while I initially got interested in this podcast due to Gigguk, nowadays I find Connor far more entertaining. Like comments say, he really was a shonen/light novel protagonist in his childhood/teens and his life totally deserves a movie or a mini series.

Actually, if you don't know its origin, it does sound like a legitimate socio-cultural concept.
Like, it wouldn't look out of place in a Master's level thesis (not quite sure about doctoral, though).

I'm the kind who recognizes the meaning and value of six sequential digits, so I immediately recognized the anime. 
Ah, yes that "hentai" from the thumbnail. I'm aware about it since there are dozens of Fix Fic that want that hentai to have a good end including a Rpgmaker fan game.
