Ripped from the Headlines and stuff relating to current events is likely a thing right now?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I remember a show my boyfriend and I saw when at a restaurant that blatantly took place during the pandemic. But I have no idea what it was.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI troped that The Good Doctor did an episode on the pandemic. I’m sure it can’t have been the only show, though. Also, the episode didn’t seem to fit within the series’ continuity, but that’s beside the point.
SoundCloudMedia takes time to adapt depending on the time it takes to produce. For example, feature films tend to get written years in advance of release, so we wouldn't expect to see major penetration of COVID-19 for a few years yet. Major TV shows tend to be written and produced before the first episode airs, so again you'd expect a year or two lag.
Soap operas and similar works produce episodes weeks to months in advance, so would incorporate present-day themes more rapidly. Reality TV is similar: usually you have weeks to months of latency depending on when the production occurs.
Animated works can take years to produce unless they're formulaic crap akin to soap operas.
Books would be all over the place, of course. Fiction writing can take years as well, while non-fiction may be more current, but we don't trope non-fiction.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"You know, "making tropes" in the TV Tropes context can mean launching TLP items about them. No need for the sophistry.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMy question is, is "COVID 19" a tropeworthy concept? Are there tropes currently emerging as works deal with the pandemic? Or would these be better suited to be referenced on the Useful Notes page and other tropes involving, say, disease?
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWe could TLP a Multi Screen Video Call trope. Basically the Evolving Trope version of the Split-Screen Phone Call. I'm pretty sure we could gather enough examples.
Rock'n'roll never dies!So now that I've been watching more mainstream gaming YouTubers I keep finding fun little horror games to make pages on. I just made a small page for the ROBLOX game Vacation Story which has been popular recently. IDK if this will bring any real traffic but I do think honing in on some games these popular creators are playing, especially if playing those games becomes a trend, could help, so that's what I've been doing lately.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAlexa has announced they will be retiring on May 1st, 2022 (not to mention their overall unreliability), and ultimately this project has been a failure. I wanted to grow the wiki, which it has grown for sure, but in the end it didn't work as I thought. I'm still doing plenty of page writing on my own. Unless someone wants to try again, I think this thread should be closed.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Alright, I'll morgue this then.
Macron's notes
"We need to have tropes about..." is not coherent. Tropes develop in works; we do not invent them on this site.
