Wait, you're telling me we didn't have an Eminem thread? >.>
Now regarding the album, I dig it. In terms of music and rapping it might be my favorite of his sinceā¦ shit, maybe since The Eminem Show? In terms of lyrical content though, well, it's an Eminem album. He's just going round in circles at this point. Though I didn't pay that much attention to the lyrics, I'd have to give it a second listen.
But yeah, probably too much filler. I especially didn't get Yah Yah.
"Yah Yah" is just three dudes rhyming. Not much to "get".
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.Liked it a fair bit. I'd put it in the second group of Eminem's albums in terms of quality, beneath the big 3 but alongside MMLP 2 and Kamikaze and maybe Encore. It feels like he's hit his stride again compared with how lost he was musically in Revival and how Kamikaze was mostly reactionary.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Personally I'd put this way above MMLP 2. I feel like the more I listen to it, the more tracks I find skippable
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.Godzilla is also my fav track of this album, even though overall, its quite average :/
So, he just dropped a new album, so I figured we could have a thread on him. The new album is ok, the tracks in the middle (especially Godzilla, Yah Yah, and Stepdad) are good, but the album does suffer from filler, most everything after Stepdad isnt very memorable at all IMO.
