Character pages are a large chunk of the wiki, but they're often filled with problems that don't get resolved. These problems include:
- Zero Context Examples
- Indentation problems, including bulleting tropes under supertropes or tropeslashing
- Spoiler tag misuse
- A lack of alphabetization
- Empty character folders
- Plagiarized character descriptions
- Misused tropes, or tropes that don't belong on character pages
- Broken or incorrect formatting
- Subjective / Trivia trope mentions
Per How to Create a Character Page, character pages should only include tropes that describe the characters. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, Unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly). If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask about that at Are These Character Tropes
.
All characters must have at least one contextualized trope for their section or folder to be visible. If you find a character that has no contextualized tropes present, comment out the entire section and add this tag:

- Problems with pre-existing images on Characters page need to go via Image Pickin'. Low quality images can usually be upgraded without discussion, but don't change or delete images without Image Pickin' approval.
- Character Specific Pages have their own separate cleanup thread
- Self-demonstrating character pages also have their own thread.
- Inanimate objects and locations on character pages have their own cleanup thread
- Character pages for Reality Show contestants are on-topic here, but there's also a dedicated Reality Show cleanup thread which deals with the No Real Life Examples, Please! grey areas these shows create, and may sometimes be a better place to discuss them.

I recently edited Neptunia - Main CPUs to move up most of the examples from each of the CPUs folders that share the same trope to the General Tropes. I'm not sure if there's a rule or limitation about this, but I didn't like how they turned out as they made the General folder look even more crowded. Should I revert the edits or request a full-on mod revert?

Again, sorry. I just wanted to ask if it was okay if I move some of the Character Tropes to the "General Tropes" folder rather than each of the CPUs folders.

Just looking at the way Characters.Fallen London handles the main character, who begins as a blank slate to be customised.
I'm sure we had a policy that things based on player decisions weren't a good fit for character pages? Should we cut these? The "You" folder is full of them.
- The Ace: Especially when you have all four core stats high/maxed out. But even with only one stat high, you are still one of the best people in that field/profession.
- Affably Evil: You can play as such if you have high Heartless and Steadfast at once (being cruel and self-serving even against people who haven't hurt you, but staying honourable to those who have helped you) or have high Ruthless and Magnanimous at once (being cold-hearted whenever it brings you benefits, but often going out of your way to show kindness to strangers).
- Ambiguous Gender: An option, you can go by completely gender-neutral pronouns at will, and no one will bat an eye at the fact they don't really know if you're male or female. Plus they have bigger things to worry about.
To give my two cents on it, I do think it is best to combine entries if they are recurring across various iterations. Besides, it avoids redundancy.

On the Monsterverse Kaiju page, the combined byte count between Skar King, Shimo on the rest of the Hollow Earth fauna adds up to 78,115 bytes. Any objections to giving them all a separate page?
Dunno if this is the right thread for this, but the "Heroes" character sheet for Miraculous Ladybug has several folders that have gotten overly large, including Kagami Tsurugi, Alix Kubdel, and Luka Couffaine. Can I spin those three off into their own pages?

(x3),(x4) There was the same argument in discussion page almost a year ago that "we can reasonably be sure that the pages will fill up very quickly", yet the subpages in Characters.Pokemon Horizons The Series still fall way below the recommended 250k limit, only clearing around 170k altogether. My opinion is that these pages aren't going anywhere at this rate and should be merged now, and only consider the subpages when it's filled enough.
The issue I have with Pokemon Horizons character page is that it's part of the main anime index, rather than its own separate index. Without Ash making any cameo at the moment, the connection between Horizons and the rest of the Anime is extremely loose (and the index page is bloated).
What do you suggest?
Pokémon Horizons should be given its own index page rather than be part of the main anime index, just like how it's done for Yu-Gi-Oh! for example.
And that's only when the Horizons page considerably expands. The main anime is only as large as it is because for the longest time, it was following Ash Ketchum and thus recurring characters often appear in different series in one singular narrative, so it made sense that the character index would be ridiculously huge. But now, Ash's journey is over, and it's clear that the anime will be following new generations of Pokémon trainers unrelated to Ash. And the anime index is already bloated.
