If this is still going on, I rolled someone up. Deciding if I'm going self-insert or not, but still.
"Call me dickmaster."Privelage: Never got started but I'd still love to run this if I could find some players.
Alright. Give me a bit to write up the app.
"Call me dickmaster."Two and a bit months have passed, I dunno if y'all are still into this idea, but I know I am.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.I'll apply ASAP! This looks like fun!
♪Show me the wisdom of the world... Tell me the secrets of the heart... and the sweet~ mysteries~ of love~...Yay! Response! An actual response! Anyone else?
Looks like we've got two so far.
I don't think I underknow this. Do I reroll one trait, or else reroll the maid weapon? Or do I choose a new trait, or else choose a new maid weapon? Or do I discard a trait (leaving the character with two), or else reroll/re-choose the maid weapon?
What if, improbably, I like all four things the RNG gives me?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. You either get three qualities and no weapon, or two qualities and a weapon
So I roll all four, and then discard either a quality or the weapon.

"Hope for our world, tragedy for another."We only have two characters posted so far, so go right ahead
Ok, three sign ups! Sounds like a good time to get started.
Ok, in this system, combat is simple. Role play what your character does, and include what attribute you want to use. I roll two six sided dice, the first for you and the second for the monster. I multiply your die by your attribute to get your attack power and the Monster's die by its level for its attack power. The loser (the one with the lower attack power) then takes stress equal to the winners attack power, divided by the losers' attribute / Level. Stress is cumulative; once most monsters reach stress over their limit, they are destroyed and vanish. Once your stress reaches your spirit level, you either black out or suffer a stress explosion.
Example: You are fighting a level 0 Gold Fish and decide to stomp on it it with Athletics (2). The goldfish, being on the floor without its favored environment (water) decides to flop around.
I roll a '3' for you and a '5' for the Goldfish.
You: 3 (Athletics) * 2 (Die) = 6
Goldfish: 0 (Level) * 5 (Die) = 0
You win. Since dividing by 0 is impossible, I divide by 1 instead and the Goldfish takes a total of 6 (your attack power divided by 1) stress damage, sending it to Goldfish Heaven.

Ok, first combat is over.
Favor is the game's version of XP. You start with favor equal to your affection times two. Winning combats or doing things for Felix will help you gain favor.
You can use favor to upgrade attributes, trading 10 * X to raise your attribute one level, where X is the new level. For example to go from 2 to 3 would cost you 30 favor, while going from 0 to 1 would only cost 10 favor.
You can also use favor to spend 1 favor to remove 1 stress from yourself, or spend a random amount of favor (this will be a roll of 1 to 6) to randomly improve an attribute roll for one dice roll (so if your normal athletics are 2, you can say you want to spend favor to try the roll as a 3 instead.))
Are those codex entries visible in-universe?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Yes. When your predecessors were given Magical Girl abilities by Star White, part of the abilities was the magical equivalent of AR to let your predecessors know how much damage they and their opponents had taken. Felix modified that ability to, in his own word, 'Give access to Superior Atlantian Knowledge'. The codices are thus information provided to each o you in the form of a pop-up box and, because they ware created by Felix, tend to have a noted bias towards the way Felix views the multiverse.

Now that makes a whole lot of sense. Too bad (for Felix) that White can edit them somewhat, though :P
I'm going to bed now. Thought I should mention this.
To explain: Killing a hell puppy / hell doggy is worth 1d6 favor. That means I roll a six-sided dice and you get that much favor. If I like an action, I can roll a six-sided dice and give you half that favor (so 1 - 3 point(s) extra favor). Killing harder monsters can get you larger favor rewards, and doing various tasks (like cooking) gains favor.
Once you have 10 experience, you can spend it to upgrade any level 0 attribute to 1. Once you have 20 experience, you can spend it to upgrade any level 1 attribute to 2. Once you have 30 experience, you can spend it to upgrade any level 2 attribute to 3. Once you have 40 experience, you can spend it to upgrade any level 3 attribute to 4. Once you have 50 experience, you can spend it to upgrade any level 4 attribute to 5.
You can also spend a random amount of favor (1 - 6) to request something from me, the GM, or to grant someone else a random amount of favor. If granting someone else favor, it has to be in response to something roleplayed.
Wouldn't Amethyst and Amber have tied as we both rolled a 1 and have a 3 in the stat you rolled for us?
No, I'm going for athletics for your character's kicking and and cunning for Lloyd's throwing hatchet, so I didn't use the same stat for both characters. If you want, you can have your character attack Lloyd and choose what stat you want to attack with. Be aware how you RP depends on if I'll allow that stat or not... If you're attacking with a sledge hammer, I'm not going to use your affection stat, no matter how much you're attacking the target 'out of love'.

My Athletics is 3 and their Cunning is 3, you rolled a 1 for both of us so we'd tie

You wake up in the body of a magical girl. A magical being, in the form of a cat, tells you that you are in the body of one of the Magical Maidens, a team of teenage girls selected by the Light Kingdom when they realized the Dark Kingdom was invading Earth. Sadly, the evil ruler of the Dark Kingdom has trapped the Magical Maidens' souls away. Your souls have temporarily been moved into the girls' bodies. Once the Dark Kingdom is defeated or the girls' souls rescued, you will be returned to your original body.
GENERATING A CHARACTER: In order to play, you will need to use a Maid the RPG character generator or follow the rules to roll up a Maid the RPG character.
Character Generator
You may select your colors or go random. Roll for three random special qualities. You will need to either choose to keep two, or choose to keep all three and replace your maid weapon. This may lead to weird/strange characters, and that's fine. You may also choose to keep the rolled stress explosion or replace it with a stress explosion of your choice (Drinking, gambling, etc). Don't worry if your character seems odd or weak, since that is part of the fun. A magical girl who is sickly and secretly a boy, fighting alongside an android cat-girl and an angelic vampire, can turn out to be the heart of the team if role-played well. If there is a problem with your character, you may re-roll, but please do not keep rerolling to try to get a perfect character. Flaws and weaknesses are what make characters interesting.
Playing:
The generator will roll up six stats.
When trying to do something, the GM will either allow it to auto-succeed, auto-fail, or assign a target number. You roll a six sided dice and then multiply the number by an appropriate stat. (Example: You are trying to rescue a cat from a tree. You can either climb up the tree (athletics) or try to charm the cat down (Affection).) If you exceed the target number or match, you succeed. If your total is below, you fail. Sometime when you fail, you will take stress damage.
When doing a contested roll, either against an NPC or another player, you again roll a six sided die and multiply by a stat. Your opponent also rolls and multiplies by a stat. In a tie, no effect. Otherwise, the winner's total is divided by the loser's stat (rounding down) and the loser takes that amount of stress damage. When a character's stress exceeds their spirit, the character is either eliminated or has a stress explosion. Your spirit is your starting will times 10. A stress explosion means your character is eliminated from the immediate combat and can normally not doing anything helpful until she's calmed down.
