Suggestion: Characters.Pokemon

02/05 Update: A Gen VI folder is finished, but not whole Gen VI. Now, I'm posting this because odd problems are occuring. On ideapad Y700-17ISK LAPTOP-F 34 IKBR 9, Microsoft Edge as browser and Windows 10 as operating system, some images on Sandbox.Pokemon Character Page Images are getting corrupted, presumably to save data. This results in stuff like this:

And the pic is now corrupted if I post it here (on my combination of machine, browser and OS).

Yet the Web Archive version of the page even on MS-Edge and the same TV Tropes page on Firefox are fine.

I knew I was going to run into problems eventually, but this is ridiculous. I'll try to split the page by putting images on Sandbox.Pokemon Character Page Images 1 and Sandbox.Pokemon Character Page Images 2 (lazy names, but the pages will be deleted eventually anyway) and correct corrupted crap, but still.

Unless you've already replaced them, they aren't corrupted on the page for me. Using Kindle Fire (dunno which version) with Silk.

False alarm. After making a virus scan and splitting these pages, I've realised the images were getting corrupted because MS-Edge was trying to save on space (simply too many pics on one page), but everything seems fine after the split. So it's a problem with my browser, not TVT.

Anyway, I've got hooked to the new video feature, cleaned up my C disk, and stuff was happening in life, but I've finished Generation VI. I'll need to add new Gen VIII pics soon, but for now, I think I'll finish Gen III's pics instead. This will get finished before the game's release, I'll do my best for it to happen.

Alright, I'm fully done with Gen III, which means Sandbox.Pokemon Character Page Images 1 is 100% complete. All I have left to finish is Sandbox.Pokemon Character Page Images 2, which still lacks Gen IV and VIII. I've downloaded all images for those, so just let me add everything and then I'll ask rjd1922 for a quality check.

12/6=2 update: Generation IV is done. There's only one generation left, and that is Gen VII. I will do my best to finish it by Sunday; especially since not all Pokemon will return in SWSH, so not all 3DS models would get an upgrade, another reason why we need to use official art.

You know what, I'm gonna ask for a source here. (If you're citing Treehouse, that's not what Masuda said.)

Stated why I think so to Bwburke in a PM. Still, I do plan to finish uploading art even if I'm mistaken, as consensus for the change was established in the beginning of this thread.

One month after my birthday and two months after OP update: Phase 2 is finished. All pics uploaded. All 819+ of them. Time to start Phase 3, a quality check. As stated above, I'll ask rjd1922 for any quality concerns such as lack of transparency, cropping or other screw-ups.

18/6=3 Update: As I have received no response to my message, when I'm back home at my computer on Friday, I'll just skip to replacing the pics, as transparency can always be changed later and it's not like vertical white space is that bad anyway. I apologise to bwburke94 and rjd1922 if I done anything wrong to you.

• Mega Aggron
• Mega Medicham
• Mega Manectric
• Sunny, Rainy, and Snowy Form Castform (the quality for them is also pretty bad)
• Mega Banette

Pokemon Character Page Images 2:

• Sandy Cloak and Trash Cloak Wormadam
• Mega Abomasnow
• Zen Darmanitan (quality is bad as well)
• Resolute Form Keldeo
• Aegislash

Hippopotas and Hippowdon should also have their female variations considering the major color difference. I was going to say that Minior should have the rest of the core colors, but squeezing those into one image would make it way too small. They should just be mentioned in a note or something.

Alright, I'll delay pic replacing to Saturday and correct all that I can on Friday. Opinions:

• Any oversights with transparency happen because I used Picpick to resize stuff. It's comfortable for merging pics, resizing normal stuff or converting format to PNG, but it does not respect transparency at all. I'll probably use GIMP or Paint for resizing next time if I need to.
• Megas and most other square pics would be very easy to fix now that I know altering quoteright to 240 helps adjust height as well. I didn't know that until the beginning of this month. Before that, I forcefully resized with Picpick and like it said, it turned out to be garbage in this situation.
• Castform's alernate form art is admittedly kinda crap. Unfortunately, not counting fixing transparency, I can't do better. Zen Darmanitan is better, but not by much.
• Hippopotas and Hippowdon's female forms don't have official art. (How sexist!) I will clarify pics use male forms, though.

Syrian Father's Day Update: Pretty much all corrections recommended by Crossover-Enthusiast done. The only thing left to do is replace the pics on character pages tomorrow, which I shall hopefully finish completely myself.

Final Update: All pics uploaded. Sending all sandboxes to the Cut List. I hope that this will work fine for a long time, as I don't really plan to upload new Pokemon pics for a while. Thank you for help.
