3 things you have/don't have in common with the character the below poster selects

Found this◊ on Twitter recently and thought it could be a fun forum game. So, you mention a character for the above poster, and when you get a character, reply (by editing your post) with three things you have in common with them, and three things you don't! So... let's start!

Not an easy one, but:

In common:

• We're both skilled with a needle and thread (though in my case for sewing costumes)
• We both show up in many different places
• Bit of a stretch here, but we can both be quick (considering I often end up walking faster than others when in a group, and like running from place to place)

Not in common:

• I'm not very good at fighting
• I don't have a red cloak
• Probably wouldn't be good at confronting others

- Likes things that spin

- Occasionally repeats words

- Not (completely) insane

- Not in prison

  • Not a father, nor ever been in a relationship.

• Never had to fight others with my music skills

  • We're both very interested in myths and the supernatural
  • We both have a dog that we love very much.
  • We both have a sister who we get along with better now than we did when we were younger.
• Not in common:
  • I do not live by the ocean.
  • I'm an adult.
  • I'm not the oldest child in my family.

  • We don't fully understand what's going on, we just like to make people happy.
  • We spend almost all our time in our rooms.
  • We like games and puzzles.
• Not in common:
  • I'm not trapped in a house with killer rats and toys
  • I don't like most techno, pop, etc. music (Well, Camime's music has grown on me, but I don't like most others)
  • I do not have blue eyes. I can't do "is not (species)" for every non-human character, that feels like cheating. So I'll start doing specific physical traits instead. My eyes are more grayish.

• Don't talk much.
• Trouble with personal space (more past me than present me, but it does crop up)
• No longer live in the town I grew up in.

Differences:

• I'm not a space marine. Or a marine of any kind really.
• No demons^* Well, not literal ones anyway. I think everyone has figurative ones in their lives to some extent. in my past.
• His hometown was destroyed, I just left mine.

• I don't have black hair (dyed purple, naturally brown)

What I have in common with Nemo:

• We're usually cheerful, kind and friendly, but if the wrong buttons are pushed, Beware the Nice Ones.
• We are Deadpan Snarkers, though Nemo's are more downtoned compared to me.
• We both have at least two near death experiences. He almost got shredded by a filter and was almost eaten by a Giant Squid; I was almost cooked on a restaurant's stove when I was flung into it in a motorcycle accident and nearly drowned twice.

What I don't have in common:

• I am not a clownfish.
• I don't live underwater, hence the irony of me nearly drowning twice; nor do I live in Australia. Though I have met an Australian woman, to whom I can't resist making a "Just Keep Swimming" joke, to her amusement.
• My parents are not as overprotective as Marlin is.
